94 4Runner door rattle - how to fix?

So I have this issue where my driver side door rattles. commonly this would be loose door pins but they are tight. what happens is that the door rattles by going in and out not up and down.

I thought the latch hook can be adjusted but it cant.

Is this a common issue? How can it be fixed?

Tx

I would use a screwdriver to act as the striker and push it into the door catch to see if there is play. It will have 2 steps of latching on to the screwdriver just like when the door is closing. Cleaning and lubing the catch with light spray grease might help if it's all gummed up with years of dirt and old grease.
If that doesnt work, look and see if the striker is worn more on one side than the other. If it is, try flipping it over.
it could also be missing the rubber cushion in the bottom of the door

I remember that one time the door bent a little in an incident and a body shop bent it back. thats probably the issue. nothing really seems worn. I built up the door bumpers with foam tape and it seems better in one way but worse in other ways. when i drive on the highway the door in the front noticeably wobbles in and out ( 0.5-1mm maybe) from wind.

the door pins seem fine. when the door is open it does not wiggle. what is the best way to test door pins?

No, sadly, I cant find out why it rattles. the pin seems tight and door just moves . I put some foam tape on the rubber buffers to make sure the door sits tighter but it makes little difference
