Replacing windshield - install how many parts first?

I recently got the windshield frame rust fixed on my '86 truck. The dash is still almost completely torn apart, plus no cowl, no wipers, etc. Before getting a new windshield installed, how many parts should I reinstall? All of them? Leave off the cowl? Any advice about this is welcome, it was so long ago that I removed parts and my memory is not getting any better with age

You can reinstall pretty much everything. I’d leave the cowl and wipers off for now, though.
