I have a 93 4runner I have rebuilt from the ground up. Recently I swapped the auto trans with a manual. Every thing went perfect with the swap, but after about three thousand miles the new clutch has started making a kind of squalling ( I'm not Shure that is a word and at first I thought it was a tire starting to spin kinda noise) sound when i let the clutch out while applying a slightly higher than normal amount of throttle. It only happens when applying too much gas while starting to disengage. Its only apparent when starting out from a stop in first gear. What could be wrong? Other than that it works perfect. If I let the clutch out at lower RPM it does not do it, but now I am experiencing a slight shudder when I let the clutch out at say 900 RPM. I am thinking maybe a week spring in the pressure plate and would hate to replace it already. Any Ideas out there?

It's not a squeal. The sound is more hollow. Kind of like the sound of a very large tire starting to spin on asphalt. and it only does it once in a while. I am once in a while. I am also getting a shutter on low RPM engagement, but only in the last week or so. I changed the trans mount and that helped with the shutter. I have never heard a clutch this sound in a clutch.
Never heard one sound like you are describing. Something is definitely wrong. Might as well tear it down again.
Have you smelled burnt clutch yet? Clutch chatter/shudder is probable. Trans input shaft seal could be leaking, and bad pilot bearing too. Did you use a new flywheel, or a used one that was re-surfaced?
You probably cut-and-pasted it from somewhere. I don't know why, but on this forum that does odd things with font color.
But it's easy to fix. Go back and "edit" the post, highlight all the text, press the "text color" button and select "automatic." Don't pick any other color, including white or black, unless you want to experiment.
There is no smell.The clutch pressure plate and flywheel are new. The piolet bearing and throw out bearing are new as well. I have a small borescope camera coming to see if any seals are leaking, but the shaft seal and the engine main seal are also new. What is strange is that it only does it when taking off from a start and only at a specific RPM when letting out the clutch and usually on a slight incline; not usually on level ground.
As snippits suggests you're probably going to need tear it apart again.
If I may ask, did you use quality parts or Chinese?

When I do a clutch job I only want to do it once.
I go to Toyota and get what I need, but that's me.

Hard to tell these days. Most everything is made in china. Tried to get Toyota parts but they are no longer available. so it's a crap shoot these days. They are all made to OEM standards, but it always seems like china parts may require the job to be redone two or three times. Parts are from Oreilly's, but their parts fail two or three times before you get a part that works.
