3.0 headers

3.0 headers
I came across these on eBay and wondered if they would help at all. I searched for nearly 2 years to find a 1st gen 3.0 manual transmission that wasn't out of site price wise nor trashed. The ultimate goal was to do the 3.4 swap. I have a 96 and a 98 with the 3.4 and am very familiar with it. The paperwork that came with the car shows a brand new engine 130k miles ago and new head gaskets 60k miles ago. The engine runs great so there are other things I want to do first, hence my question about these headers. Thanks.

i am looking to get a bit more towing power out of it. It struggles a bit with my 18' 3000lb boat. That's why I'm interested.

I haven't tried headers on my 3.0 - after someone mentioned that the 1UZ V8 could fit and would bolt up "easily" I figured that was the best performance mod, if I ever got around to it.
Those headers in particular don't look like they'd make more power than stock, although the only way to truly know would be a dyno or road test before and after.

Did a little bit of searching on the company (DNA) that makes those headers and the reviews are pretty mixed for that company. The price seems to good to be true so I would take that into consideration, just saying, YMMV. The only way to find out is for someone to take the plunge and see how they work out. I notice they also sell on Amazon but I could not find the 3.0 setup on there. I for one would love to have a set of headers and downpipes on my 3.0 but the cost of the name brand ones (Thorley, NWOR, LCE) has kept me on the fence.
Cheers

They are listed as "Out of Stock" right now.

I am in the process of rebuilding my '93 xtra cab right now and was thinking of trying to build some shorty headers.
The factory passenger side setup has all three cylinders dumping into an exhaust manifold that has a 1-1/2" outlet and the crossover pipe is also 1-1//2. Almost anything would be an improvement. I'm going to watch this auction and if the headers become available I'll be a buyer.

The seller just replied to my inquiry as follows:
"Restocking can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months. Please check back for this item periodically to see if we have restocked it. "
