Done!
during full articulation, tire almost rubs. I'm sure it will with an elk in the back. Looking for a slight, maybe 2" lift in the back. I tried helper springs, but they just gave me a rough ride, and 3/8" lift. I'm thinking airbags? My rear bumper is already an air tank ( holding 100psi)

Nice job, looks really good, definitely very sturdy! I would go with airbags, you can get them pretty cheap on ebay, they're adjustable and since you already have an onboard air tank they would be pretty easy to install. You can fab up your own brackets or buy those as well.

+1 on the bags. Ive had really good luck with the Firestones. Nice fab skills as well. Looks like when our time ends on earth, there will be nothing left but cockroaches and that bed. Lol

thanks! Where do yours mount? To the axle and the frame, or between the leafs and the frame?

This is the only crappy pic I can post from photobucket of the 86 Toyota
The tow rig under my Chevy was around 2100lbs + ford ranger + Suzuki sv650. Nice and level at 65psi

Also, with the side frame mount it distributed the weight across a larger section of frame rather than being pinned to the bottom which could cause stress to the small contact point there
