    Bike696,
Not much demand for the 8.4" stuff here but will keep my eyes open. ZUK

Hey zuk i joined the forum just to talk to you. I am redoing the rear end of my 2001 tundra. i got lucky the carrier and spider gears and ring and pinion went out. but i found a rear end at a pull a part and grabbed it only issue was the gear ratio was wrong. so i swapped the ring and pinion from 4.10 to 3.90 and i changed all the bearings with a yukon install kit. i went with the donor axles and changed the wheel bearings and break hardware also. but what i am getting at is now i have an extra 4.10 ring and pinion set and a extra set of axles and a good 3rd member housing.the axles are about 80% on the splines so unless someone really needs a set probably not worth shipping them. but the ring and pinion are low miles and the 3rd member housing is decent except some standard rust. the parts were pulled out of a 2002 with 58k miles that was rolled. if you know anyone interested let me know.

Hi I'm interested in the 356 gears for a 1988 pick up 4x4. I have 31 10.50 15 tires would these be the right gears for this set up also you said you would install gears on my 3rd members if sent to you.

I haven't checked messages much in the last month, thanks for the reply. I replaced the front 3rd with a hi pinion assembled unit with 5.29s and a zip locker before I started on the rear and found the fitment issue, so now I have a v-6 rear housing that was donated by my parts source in Anchorage. I am trying to sell my leftovers locally since I doubt anyone would pay shipping from Alaska for something they can get closer.

    Zuk,
I was told you were a good person to ask about the issues I am having with the 8 inch differential I am building. I purchased a zip locker and 5.29 gears for my 95 4runner and the ring gear is so much thicker that I cannot fit it in the housing. I am ready to try getting my money back and order a complete bolt in unit like I did for the front hi pinion. could you clue me in on what is wrong? different housing? Wrong ring and pinion? Wrong zip locker? I double checked part numbers that I ordered through Trail gear and it looks like I ordered correctly and got what I ordered. So what the hell? Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

    Hi Joey-
Just got back from Moab and saw your message. Only shop I have any engine experience with with is B&B machine shop in Mesa...they resurfaced my 22re head and did a good job.

Hey man, I noticed you are in Chandler. I live in QC and I was wondering if you knew a reputable machine shop to do my 22re? I've been looking all over but don't have the warm and fuzzy about anyone yet except one place. APD Power in Tempe. Any suggestions?

87 toyoda----Exactly....use a passenger side arm for the lower end. For the top portion,if you cannot find a J-arm to cut off then another passenger side arm will work just as good.

Hey i was checking out your Y-arm setup for solid axle steering instead of using high steer. I'm thinking this is the way I wanna go with my 87 pickup, but i was wondering what steering arm you use for the driver side knuckle since you cut up the J arm. Do you just use another passenger side steering arm? Any info if helpful so thanks alot!
