Question Subwoofer Enclosure in my truck bed?

I'd like to install a dual subwoofer enclosure in my bed. But how?

I have a soft tunneau bed cover that does a pretty good job at keeping things dry within the bed, but how will the subs handle the extreme temperatures?

Also, the enclosure will need to be "steal proof." Otherwise, somebody could just unbutton my bed cover, and remove the subs.

I'll probably store the amps within the cab.

If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or ideas, please post. Thanks!

Build the enclosure out of medite, then coat the entire thing with fiberglass resin. Cut a pass through from the bed to the cab, use a plasma torch or similar to get a nice clean cut. I suggest using the accordian boot from a shell shop (the one that goes window to shell) to keep rain and such out.

Once the box is in the bed, bolt it to the bed floor with BIG bolts & washers. Coat them with antisieze and then spray the underside with undercoating to keep rust off the bolts.

Voila, you now have a HUGE system in your little cab.

BTW, this will have to be a custom enclosure.

Yeah thats my truck. socal98runner has mentioned everything you need to do, but I dont know about having a soft bedcover. If you plan on keeping your system, I would get a hard bedcover.

Cool! You're on Yotatech too.

Thats a really nice set up man. I don't know how many times I've looked at that link.

I might bet getting an '05 doublecab Taco mid year and I was thinking of cramming some subs back there too.

Nothing as fancy as yours though.
