1st Gen 4Runner audio set up.. need suggestions
The goal is clean sounding stereo set up with what I already have...
Rig 1984 4runner
Audio
Head unit: Old Alpine
Speakers:
4" DEI Speakers in stock dash location
6" Kicker Speakers in front Doors
10" Elemental Designs slim in a custom sealed enclosure
Amps
1 MTX 2 Channel
1 Other 2 Channel Amp I forget the name.
I am not an audiophile nor do I want to dump any real money into this system..
I do have some peal and stick laid down in the front cab and there is some carpet foam in the rear of the vehicle.
So my real question is how should I wire this all up?
4"s and 6" off one amp and the 10" off the other?
thanks

Hey bud!
I actually had better luck with my alpine(back in the day) when I ran a 4 Channel with crossovers from 2 channels to the 2-4"ers and 2-6x9's and the other 2 channels to the dual 10's. The amp I had I was able to 'dial it in', regarding power to certain speakers, etc., ...so I went with like 60% to the subs and 40% to the other 4 in the front and back seats. Just the 2 channels to those 4 speakers made HUGE difference with an 800W 4 ch amp.
Since you already have what you have(which would be better), I would put the more powerful amp to the sub and other amp to the 4 speakers(can you dial that amp in at all?)
