I still say trim the fenders WAY before lifting higher to go up to 37s+
You get out on the hammers, terminator etc with a tall Toyota on 37s with their generally skinny stance and you'll be regretting it.
Indeed, I will be triming the fenders, and may attempt to lower it, but at this point, it rides really nice, it flexes very well, it holds a side hill at 30*...............it'll carry a load. It has been performing much better than I expected.

90% of the rigs I go wheelin with are much taller than me, but they also have a wider wheel base and don't have all the glass and sheet metal that our 3rd gens have. The Taco I posted a photo of, took quite a bit of work to make it flex and clear everything, but it climbs offcamber stuff very well. With all the weight up high, you have to be very careful when lifting. I've seen so many rigs on their side that I lost count and they weren't nearly as high as Steve's rig.

Steve the white truck in the photo's below, competed in the ultimate Truck challence, his 16 yr. old daughter owns the green rig and does competitions with him and often beat's him as well. Ironically she doesn't have a drivers license yet, so somebody else had to drive her rig on the highway back to the tow rigs.(attached photo of "HOLLY'S EVIL TOY", you can see her in the passenger seat)

Yep that white truck is not a toy, but a fullsize Chevy....

Steve - Its an impressive truck, there is no doubt about that. Keep up the good work!

Good to see some action shots too.

Thanks, much appreciated.

Soon, I'll have more info on the Dual Battery, Remote winch, Line Lock, Rear Disc Brakes, Full Floater setup, and some other items.

Nobody cares about that little stuff. All we want to see are maxed out flex shots on huge rocks!

Come on, 30 degrees isn't that extreme...although it was wet, muddy, rocky, dark and that would be a hell of a muddy mess to clean up if you rolled into the pond at the bottom.

I was glad to be the spotter last night...I don't even like that section with a 4" lift. I wish the pics showed it better.

yeah, at times, I was concerned that a little slippage would result in a cold swim. Noticed I had the sun roof open, with both windows. I was preparing myself for the cold dunk.

You're right, we should have pushed it to 45, just to see what would have happened......

WOW!

That is some serious flex! Very impressive. I hate to become another statistic of those who say its too high. But it's only too high for me so who cares?

Awesome work, Steve. I am thoroughly impressed for sure!

It's not too high to me!!

Well ... yes, too high for me to get into ... but is that really important?

I think it looks great, and I think whatever height issues are mentioned you'll still be fine, especially as you get used to how it feels offroad and on the street.

Can't wait to see more action shots!

Come wheel with the gang again Steve.

You are used to a tallish rig. If the rear is still like it was when I rode with you and all you have added is a real front and some big tires, I trust it handles fine.

Most leaf conversions ride a little rough, dog leg a little bit and aren't half the engineering this is.

Being done is a good feeling, I wish I could feel it.

Flygt, you make a good point here...

SteveO correct me if I am wrong...After the rear leaf conversion and Pro Crap front lift you basically had the same suspension height only with 33's. The big difference now is an amazing SAS and 37's. The 37's is what changed the height so much not the SAS. I know it's only an inch higher in the rear that it was a year ago.

Big Trucks are Cool!

Correct. As I was leaving for work this morning, I was noticing that its really not that tall in terms of suspension. The tires really put it up there.

The height is really growing on me, and it sits really well in conjunction with the tires. I definitly need some steps to get in and out, but otherwise, this thing really wheels well, is stable (as Jim can attest) and drives incredibly well on the highway.

That's only half of it. When I get around to posting the stuff about the remote winch setup, Dual Battery setup, Rear disc Brakes with Full Floater......

Then I'm really gonna suck!

nahhhh. I'm thinking I'll get a stiffer leaf pack, or an overload leaf for the top of the pack. At this point, the current spring pack doesn't carry enough weight. Much like the super duties that have an overload leaf on the top of the spring pack, I may go this route. With little weight in the, it flexes really well. Soooo, we'll see.
