New Homemade Stinger
Just wondering what some other people think on the stinger attempt. Not fully finish with it, yet still adding some more supports on the outer edges, and hopfully soon will add a diamond plate skid plate. So any advice will help. Plus hoping to extend an exo cage from the stinger bumper to the rock sliders, and the to rear bumper.

Hahaha I would have to agree it is a little excessive. But I’m pretty sure the welds won’t crack; since, their two passes of 6013 at the range of 130, and then grinded down with three passes of 7018 at the range of 160. And hahaha yes I will have a nice jungle gym to waste time on if I ever get stranded anywhere. But the reason why it looks like that is because I try to make it with the 3 point system, so everything braces something else in three spots, so a bunch of triangles in other words. The Shackle mounts look like they wont work, yet I move my axle up two inches and have extended leafs that clear the square tube by 2 inches and the shackles clear it push all the way forward and push all the way to the back, and the shackles sit at 45 degrees, so in other words they work awesome for where they are mounted. Don’t know how much it weighs, but a rough estimate would be in the range 150 to 175 pound range.

Well it’s kinda like an experimental thing I’m trying out. Not sure how it will work, but going to find out. And if not, hahaha nothing a plasma cutter can’t solve. But I think I’m going to run some trail gear super flex spring that are 47” that makes the leaf itself stick past the square bar 2” so the shackles in the back are at a 45 / and the front are at a 45 \. Im even considering some creeper joints up front as shackle mounts on the frame even though I think it is unadvised, yet I think I can restrict the sway side to side to a desirable movement. Or a may try out the revolver shackles up front too, which can give you an add 4” of articulation, and that is over even a coil system. Or I might try a combo of both set ups. If yo don’t try new things how are yo going to find the next best thing.

More welds, more heat more stress involved. Failure may occur in the heat affected zone not the welds itself. Pictures of the mount points?
Thanks,,,,, A for effort.
