You should get some protection on the front of that front diff ASAP. An 8" pipe cap works well and is pretty cheap, also Sky sells a decent one for $35 I think.

I agree. I have already beat on my front diff guard aquite a bit. I have the 8" pipe cap on mine and it works great! Cheap and easy.
Progress looks great! Looks like you have the hard part done!
BTW I love my BFG MTs!

I'd prefer the big ones that cover the whole bottom half of the diff, but since it came with the kit...meh. I welded the bottom part to the thick part of the axle for a little better strength. It's certainly better than nothing and it probably did save my gears.

I actually got some pipe caps to put on as diff armor and just didn't like the asthetics (i.e. bling) or the fit, so I got some from TG and really like them...comes w/ the sunk hex plugs.
If you dent these (1/4" plate), you've dropped off a cliff and are dead anyway.

Sky sells something similar but it is only 3/16", it is cheaper though at $35 rather than TG's $50.
The only fit "issue" that I had with the pipe caps was that when I cut it in half I had to grind off just a little from the inside of either top corner so that it would sit flush. Otherwise, it was good to go, I cut the fill notch and two drain notches and that was it.

I would reinforce the bottom/middle of the Sky hanger if you have not already. I recently picked up a rig with a Sky hanger and noticed this.
Here is a good example -

ITS DONE!!! the rear sits a little too low, so i will do longer shackes or blocks. and there is a couple other little things needing tweaking but its for the most part done.

Looks great!!! about the same size as mine. How is the clearance with the oil pan? Do you have bumpstops yet? I see you have no issues with the pitman arm...that is good.
