Question I need axle info please

Hi Everyone.

I need to know what Toyota off roaders came with an axle with close to these specs.

-approximately 55.5inches in width hub to hub

-4 x 114.3 or close (5x114.3 would do)
-LSD (or that can take a stock clutch plate type LSD)
-Disc brakes (or an axle that is commonly converted to discs)
-4.3, 4.77 or better CW&P ratio (or an axle that can take CWP swaps)

If the axle does no come with the final 4 specs above I need to at least be able to convert it to something close.
Metal fabrication is not a problem, AE86 shell prepping is a livelihood.

The axle is to be used on a high power AE86 Corolla for competition use.
I want to keep the car Toyota!!

Ive checked out this and some other diff code sites but Im still without lots of important info.

All help appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Irishtwincam

If I'm not mistaken, I think the 86 corolla coupes were RWD. Sounds like a fun project though

AE86 is solid axle, guess i should have specified that

I must kep it solid axle.
If anyone doubts my seriousness, been on the phone to quaife about reproducing AE86 diffs with half shaft solution weve come up with.
Hows that for trying to help the world

Any info on the above axles setups from toyotas, please let me know!
Thanks in advance.

hmm, your closest bet is a 4x2 toyota pickup axle. they have a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern and are of the proper width, they only have 7.5" ring gears though, so you may try to track down one from a 4x2 turbo with the 8" ring gear

honestly, your easiest deal is to get a ford 8.8 from a 95 and up explorer. 5x4.5" bolt pattern, limited slip, disk brakes

I think if you take and fjz80 and make the long side the same length as the short side and use two short axles its about 55ish inches. It's also the stoutest axle toyota makes.

He did what I'm talking about, it ended up 58.75" so a little wider, but the fj80 ring gear is like 8.875" so almost 9, pretty beefy.

What kinda engine are you putting in this? What are you gonna use the car in?

Here at CBI Off-Road Fab. we can build you any axle you want, any bolt pattern, any width, and pretty much any center section and third member you want! We could build you a Land Cruiser housing and center section, with custom made axles and I believe there is a limited slip available for the Land Cruiser third member as well. Disc brakes are no problem, chevy discs are the easiest to do, but if you want it all Toyota it's not a problem, just may be a little more $. Give us a call, it may not be the cheapest option, but it can be done! If a 8" is what you want we can do it as well. Give us a call. 208-223-5650.

Thanks for the offer, but customs trannies are WAY out of our budget.
We can do lot of fabrication in house, but just need the right info about the right axle to start with as a base.
Thanks.
