how much yall reckon it'd cost to build
Hey I got bored and decided to learn how to use the cad program on my computer
I came up with this bumper and I was wondering what yall thought it'd cost in material to build it. Its not really to scale or nothing

Sketchup is great isn't it? I designed the bumper I plan on building using it. If you have a good cheap metal source (Like I do in Delaware), it'll probably run you around $350-400. I priced mine out to be just over $200 but mine is pretty basic.
On a side note, I would appreciate it if you did not drive behind me. I would hate to be on the receiving end of that bumper!!

Lol for the spikes I'd probably use spike lug nuts off a semi if I actually put them on it they were kinda of a joke at first but now I like'em.
And so far I love sketchup but I'm still learning how to use it

Til ya catch your shin, knee or thigh (depending on lift) on them...OUCH..

Idk whacking my leg might be worth it for the looks on other people's faces when they see it. Plus you could stand on them when your working on the motor and if I use lugnuts I could removem when there in the way

lol. well what if you hit a deer? id hate to have to pry an animal off a bumper. also it may interfere with a winch line if the angle was great enough. if it were me.. id want the bumper to have the ability to slide off of trees, not get stuck on them. not bashing your ideas but i dont see it as practical to put a bumper with spikes on a trail rig... however.. if its a zombie hunting rig, by all means go for it

I see you found that handy Yota model too.. pretty slick. I have it in some of my models too. you have to hack it up to change the color though (just do one side and mirror it over to the other).
when I do presentations for work/court, you can almost always find a Yota.. it like my own game of where`s waldo... has a roof failure on a shoping mall once, the parking lot was all Yota`s & Vw`s
I once considered Nerf spikes on the front of my zombie rig

sweet zombie killer! what program are you using that has a Yota in the presets? i'd say a few hundred in steel, plus your time to cut and weld it up.
I'd also 2nd using removable spikes if you do, and probably something not metal - metal would add a significant amount of weight if they are solid...also foam is a good idea because there might be some idiot who wants to impale themselves on your parked truck and try to sue you (hey, people sue over stupid stuff these days and WIN)

The programs called "sketchup make" its free and the toyota is in the 3d warehouse (part of the program)
Id probably go with plastic lug nut covers over solid aluminum/steel lug nut spikes if I could find em in a long size but foam seems like it wouldn't last very long to me
