Another 2nd gen bumper.
After seeing all the pre fabbed bumpers. I was never happy with their design so i decidedto make my own. The material is 1 3/4 tubing 1/8 inch wall and for the mounting bracket 2 inch angle 1/4 in thick. In the center at the top is a piece of pre made hitch square tubing for a later removable winch mount or whatever i need it for.
And that is how it sits as of now. Over the top it will get a piece i diamond plate one of this days. Also some sort of a stinger. Not sure on that yet but open to ideas and comments.

:wabbit2: If it was me I would add some gussets to the rear of your receiver tube.
I would also run a piece on the top part front to back above where your angle drops to the bottom brace.
Keeping it at a depth that your diamond plate will sit on top and if it was me I would drill the diamond plate and plug weld it in a few places.
Looks good!!!

It will get more gusseting and bracing. The diamond plate will sit in a way were i can weld the edges ecept for were it goes over the receiver and more bracing.
It is not the original mounting brackets. I tried it when i was test fitting the back bar that raps around the front of truck. Way to dincky for me.
I used 1/4 by 2 in. angle iron. And here are some pictures to help explain how i did it.
