M front IFS MC09 crawler drive shaft does not have enough travel to be used with the Dana 44. So if any of you guys looking into the MC09 and still keeping the IFS, Make me an offer for a bolt in shaft.
Re-tubed in Fresno by Marlins People.
I'm thinking 75 bucks plus shipping. This will ONLY work with MC09 equipped 4Runners.

Not only does it looks super clean, it also looks super strong.
It's obvious that there is a tremendous amount of work involved but it is also obvious that it will pay off in the end and boy does it look awefully nice.
You ought to be proud Steve for everything said above.
Awesome job.

Add to the long list of second hand parts-weeheeeeeeeeee. You may get some BL if you use a shaft of Steve's. Especially the rear one.

Also my shop monkeys Adrian and Brent. All the time they put in. It was just so much work.

At this point I highly doubt it. I think it would give the impression that the task at hand was eaiser than it really is and there is no way to pre-screen people to see if they really can pull it off. People would end up with 4Runners heading to the junk yard. I had that thought a few times over the last 5 days.

I second that thought. The time and effort that Steve put into planning the thing is unreal. As stated there is almost no way to have a one size fits all "kit" for this type of project. There was a lot of standing around scratching heads to resolve some of the issues. Overal once it is DDFD I am sure that it will be worth it.
For your standard "wheeler" this is a huge project and even if you replace an axle or, CV joints once a year on the stock stuff you are still further ahead.

Hey honey's, I am finally home.
Assorted thoughts after 1000 miles on the road in the last couple of days.
Steve did his homework. Lots of it. Even with that, there is some things that just have to be covered when you are up to your eyes in trouble.
Mr. Stubbs, the milk room was part of the problem, but it was also well needed time away from tools. Even so, we were still talking shop there too.
An axle swap is not something to take lightly. This was a crap load of work for two guys who knew what they were doing and I picked up some heavy things. There was a ton of preparation outside the 5 days of serious work, but it is still not done yet. 97% of you reading this will never actually need a solid axle. That does not make them less cool, just something to think about.
Thanks for letting me be a part of something that was really cool and memorable. I would like a CD of the pics I took if possible.

Thanks Jim. I have felt bad not stopping, but at least this time I chatted with one of my cousins. It just gets to a point some times when I am done being gone and home is the only priority.
