duck's 86 pickup: rebirth!

Hey Yotatech.
Here's my 1986 toyota pickup; she's been through a lot!

Feb. 2006 I bought my first vehicle from a nice old guy who had it for 10 years and put on 10,000K using it for hunting. The truck was originally from Victoria.
Brought her home, took off the camper that came with it.

Sliced off the headache rack, added a bush bumper and drove her around for almost a year, until one terrible day in early november.
I was driving up a sheet of ice, not in 4-wheel and overcorrected into the ditch, causing her to end up on her side.

After letting her sit for the winter we decided to bend her back into shape.
The little 22R has tons of torque in her, a come-along, some heat and a big tree we were able to straighten out the cab.

Not bad for a couple of amatures.

After a long time getting her back to the correct shape so the windshild could sit properly we decided to re-do the flat deak.
(I know the roof sits high on the passenger side, it will be fixed with time, all I want right now is for the glass to fit nicely.) Don't have any pics of it now with the windshield in, but she does fit nice.

We get now to where she sits today, rear window is in, interior is back in order, dents in the door and fender and out, frame and everything got some fresh paint, changed up the bumper and re-did the flat deak.

How she sits in my yard today, awaiting some garage time for welding, bondo, paint and that windsheild to be set.

A new stage in the re-birth.

prepping her for bondo, fiberglass and paint.
also, a mini photo shoot with my bike

Edit, just added an OEM muffler, and the exhaust now runs straight out the back
