Just picked it up yesterday. It's gonna be my off road, weekend project. 150K miles, runs very nice. Original paint, decent interior.

Things to do:

Repair wiring/switches for power doors.
Budget Lift.
Replace balloon tires with something more aggressive.
Clean/paint/repair the hard top.
Add a soft top (or bikini).
Bumpers front and rear. Maybe fab up a swingout spare on the rear.

So far,

Raised the rear up 2.5" (shackles) to level it out. Replaced all wiring and switches to the power windows in both doors. Painted the top black. Fixed antenna, and some other odds and ends.

Downey Bikini-Top and Body Lift en-route. 33's soon to follow. Haven't decided if I should keep the aluminum wheels or just get some black steel wheels.

3" Body lift and Downey Bikini top added.

Not real happy with my first purchase through Downey. I was sent 2 RH side bars, so had to drill one out. Roofline bikini-bracket holes were WAY off, no two matched up. Had to ream them out double oversize for all to fit.

Not a big deal by any means, but I expected a bit more from $200 worth of bikini top.

Just ordered my new wheels and tires.

33X12.5 Super Swamper TSL Radials
15X10 Rock Crawler Series 97 Black Monster-Mod wheels

Pics when I get 'em mounted.

Oh yeah, also ordered a new chrome bumper for the rear, OEM type. It should be here next week. Mine is mangled.

Tonight I added the new rear bumper, and a Pro-Comp light bar for the front. Jeez I wish my wheels and tires would get here.

Saturday I added the BJ Spacers and my new wheels and tires. Enjoyed a 150mile 'maiden voyage' today. The boys loved riding in the back, and the wife liked riding in it too. The 3.0 doesn't seem fazed by the 33's.

There's so much more room than in my old Jeep. We stopped by the antique place and picked up a big chest and an old saw, plenty of room behind the rear seats. I dropped the kids off at the house, and then folded up the rear seats and picked up a set of patio furniture for my mother. I think I am gonna like this truck!

Can't wait to take it offroading. Need to bolt up my Aisins and find a set of Nerf-bars or sliders..

Got my '4XInnovations' sliders from Wab-Fab. The 60" HREW with Kickouts. I've mocked up one side and have it tacked. Man, that's a PITA by yourself! Holding one side up with my feet, bungy cording the other side, measuring twice, and tacking. Don't try this in shorts.

Pictures when I get em fully welded, painted, and stuck back on.

I will say that the sliders are sweet. They're heavy, and come with frame plates, and gussets.

Well, I haven't added a pic in a while because I've been enjoying my rig. Here's one of my playing around with a few Jeeps last Sunday.

You can see the sliders. Apparently sliders don't keep you from getting stuck.

Only stuck because I tried to 'creep' through it so the boys wouldn't get covered in muck. After I got yanked out, I pulled the boys and carseats out, left the wife on the trail, and tried again.

Skinny Pedal + Swampers = O-Tay!

A Cow Skull a friend stuck on my rig last Sunday. We went for a short trail ride. Not long after this picture, the skies opened up and dumped 2.5" of rain in about 2 hours. Without the top, it was pretty wet inside. I need to rhino-line the back and be done with it.

I haven't updated this one in a while. Still enjoying the old Toyota!

Recent trip to River Rock ORV park:

Added a 4XInnovations Front Bumper and a Gorilla8K Winch.

Will be taking it to another ORV Park this weekend. I'll try and post some more pics.
