MY sick obsession with toggle switches
When I bought this truck about 6 months ago it started, the lights turned on, and it moved, that's it.
No window power, stereo, horn, hazards, tach, or heater fan. I bought it for a thousand bucks and knew I was going to have to put some time into it.
After getting the vitals to work, I set to undo what the previous owner had done, windows, radio, lights, and horn.
Not having any of the original buttons or connectors I had to rig up my own, and here they are.
top green are for interior lights that I have under the dash on both driver and passenger sides, one turns on white leds, other turns on red leds, wired up to the door switch so they only come on when door is open.
The next three, the black ones, are for the windows, left, back and right. And yes, I took the awesome idea of the u bolts for protection and looks from Corax. Thank you.
Bottom 3 are for off road lights to come on with high beams, or to not.
Another has to be on to get the starter to come on.
The last one is hooked up to the little light on the cruise that comes on when the door is opened, so when on, those bottom lights come on with the door and turn off after 10-15 seconds, helpful when coming home late and the lights light the way to the door, then turn off.
That last switch with the cover is so that the windows can work without the keys, just flip it and windows have power, there is also a gap there because I am planning on fitting a temp or oil pressure gauge.
-Yes, I do have faux carbon fiber sticker, because i had grey dash panel, aluminum cover and it didnt look very good.
That, along with two other tricks, is the way to start the truck. You put in the key, turn it to on (II) then clutch, another button, toggle, then shifter knob button makes the last connection and it starts.
That was supposed to be my horn for train horns, that I never got, so I got some f350 horns and you pull on that chain and thats that. No rear view, and never knew what actually went there.
The switch with the cover is so that my spotlight doesnt accidentally switch on.
Other is for same bottom lights to be on with key on, so like day time driving lights. Sorry for the big picture, that is right next to the ebrake.
That one is direct power to the deck light so that when I camp back there I just switch on that switch and have power without keys or without having the lights on. Also connects to four led strips on the roll bar, really good coverage.
and my awesome bumper. $50.
