Al's 4runner

Al's 4runner
I have been on YT for over a year now but my truck has been in the garage almost the whole time. I have had a lot of motor work to do and other maintenance. The 4runner sat for ten years and hadn't been touched by the PO. It only had 81K original miles when I bought it last spring. I put a couple thousand miles on it to get a feel for what it needed. Right now I am just trying to make it a reliable daily driver. A few more months down the road I'll start with the fun stuff. It's your typical rusty midwest 4runner, but it was the only '85 I could find. Here's a pic of when I brought it home last summer.
I'll get some better pics after I get it out of the garage. The motor is running again but just have some minor details before it's driveable.
The bugshield and visor are gone. The front tube bumper is in really bad shape and will be replace with a winch bumper eventually. I have a heavy duty bumper for the rear that needs installed. The nerf bars will also be removed to be replaced with sliders. It's hard to say what other plans I will have for it until I can put some miles on it. The body will get some attention but not too much, I am just gonna beat on it.
I am a newbie and I am learning as I go with this truck. I also have a very busy family life, so updates will be SLOW.

Kinda pointless, but here's some pics of my '84 that I sold a couple years back. The guy rode a bus from CO to IL and drove it home with 190K. That's having some faith in toyotas and me as a seller.
I hated to sell it, you gotta do what you gotta do. At least I've got another to wrench on now.
