Yup i wouldn't mind making mine look like his!
Im just debating between brands for the sas kit, and i have been for awhile, and i probably will debate until i actually order a kit.
with your 4runner, what amount of lift are you looking for?

In the end it will be the same as all the rest I did.

He has Trail Gear 4" fronts and 5" rear but we are going to do a custom install. His truck will be like all the other AZ trucks with the Daystar Competition stops reversed to the flip plate and we are going to do something completely new to the rear.
In the end it will be the same as all the rest I did.

And just for 904 runner, one of Elvota all twisted up.

Puller from OTC or you need to get a junk yard box where you can get the arm off.
I have had some boxes where I had to use the 20 ton press to get the arm free. Obviously pull the box and 20 ton press it.
If you get one from a yard, go for 89-95 as it is a bigger box. Steering shaft will have to be modified but that is not hard.
See why making it "my" problem is much easier. For you, not me.

Pitman Arm Puller OTC7311
Also keep in mind we really need to get this through my place before Jan 1 or it will wind up on the back burner during the busy time.
So don't loose the eye of the tiger. Get the thing movable and bring it back. It's a lot of work, I know. A 3rd Gen 4Runner is 100X more.

Just brainstorming.... but what about an angle grinder to the body of the current arm? Might cut a few deep slots and help relieve the pressure. Would be difficult not to go all the way down to the splines... but if you are looking at getting a new box anyway you don't have much to loose.

Nice - I need to wheel mine with IFS a little longer until I break somethin, before I can justify spending the $ going the same route. But I have no doubts it will happen eventually, the more I see this being done the more I wanna be SAS myself
I purchased that Downey IFS truss then regretted that decision 2 months later when I went to install it and it was 1/2" or more to long. Removing my Diff Drop and going for the Sonoran Steel one once I've put some new tires on the old girl.
