Tillamook Forest Run:

Date: Leaving Seattle 05/21/2015 staying until 05/25/2015
Location: Camping at Browns Camp and running TSF trails
Time: Convoy will be leaving Seattle at 12:00 on the 21st

I apologize I have been more active on Marlin these days then I have been on here. I thought I had posted about the Tillamook run on here until I just looked and realized I hadn't. We will be making our first foray into Oregon as a club over memorial day weekend. I know this is kind of late notice but if you would like to come along get in touch with me.

I've kinda been looking forward to a three day weekend at home to recharge a little so I'm out this time. I expect to see some good pics from the trip next week

Yeah, it's been a while, I totally want to try to do a couple runs this summer. I still haven't been to Tahuya and I want to try Timber Tamer at Walker again when it's drier. I was pretty stoked with how the new tires performed last time we were there so I think if it's dry-ish I could probably tackle that trail...or if I just get a locker, but...$$$.

I know a guy who has a spartan locked IFS front 3rd member he would sell you. He put it in and used it one time then pulled it because he is doing a 3.4 swap and SAS.

Hmmm, was thinking more about doing the rear, but how much does he want for it and what gears are in it? I might not be able to either way because I'm about to close the deal on a house and a lot of my extra money is gonna go to that, but I may still be interested if it's a smokin' deal.

It's ok, I'll forgive you. I was stationed at McChord 02-08 then moved back to the sunshine in 2010.

So I had 8 years of cleaning mold out of leaky car.

You could always come over here to the sand, or we could see if you're any good with nothing to winch off. Or I could come over and try to squeeze between the trees and not slide into the deep mud.

Actually... that's halfway if you live in the Nile. That's like 20 min away. I spend more time in the deserts here than the forests.

Naches is very likely going to happen in the middle of July this year. June is going to be a down month due to a few members doing upgrades on their rigs that are going to eat up the weekends. Starting July though we are going to kick it in high gear.

Walker has some decent trails for stock trucks, you might come out with some dents though depending on the trail. Also I haven't been there yet, but I hear Tahuya is pretty stock friendly; again, depending on the trail.

Thanks for the reply. I started looking and found tahuya and it's close by so I think early Sunday I'll take the brother-in-law out to see what the trail is like.

I played at Walker and Tahuya with my old Cherokee like 10 years ago. It was fun then. I can't envision too much has changed.

Looks like a lot of the places I went over there are closed off now.... and I no longer have a Forest Service Gate Key.

I can guarantee walker has changed. It has changed in the 2 years I've been going there. Couldn't speak to Tahuya. Only been there once. They are definitely both open now though. Also Reiter is being turned into a rock crawling playground.
