Hey man hows it going? This thread is very much alive. We do have a Facebook page as well but both are equally updated. We will be having a snow run this Saturday. Going to make it?

Address: 603 SR 906, Snoqualmie Pass, WA 98068
If you would like to join the convoy headed up leave a comment below or get in touch with me somehow.
This is the route we will be taking through the mountains. Ending in Easton, WA.

The weather has screwed us again guys. The latest from the pass is that everything has once again been turned into slush. I'm cancelling the snow run until the weather turns. Sorry to let everyone down. Trust me I'm bummed more than anyone.
In other news we have some members doing some really exciting upcoming upgrades to their rigs. When the snow run does happen we will be all the more ready for it!

While we wait for the snow to finally show up I've been filling in the calendar with this year's club events. Starting with our biggest.
Put your vacation time in now everyone! The Moab trip is happening this September. We will be leaving Seattle on the 4th and heading back on the 12th. We will be camping the whole time. No need for lodging. This is obviously going to be a big trip with a lot of logistical details to be worked out in the following months. Keep it tuned here.

After some further research I am considering renting a condo for the duration of the trip. Apparently getting a camp spot is quite the roll of the dice in Moab especially with us going on labor day weekend.
The other pros for a condo other than a guaranteed place to stay would be of course hot showers (we will be there for a week after all) a garage to store doors, fiberglass tops, etc., and a place to work on our trucks should something happen. I have conservatively priced a couple out and if only 4 of us were to go (I sure hope it is more) it would be rather affordable. The condo would be cheaper the more of us that go and/or we can get a nicer one.
I would love to hear what everyone thinks on the matter. Thanks.

It depends on where we go to be honest. I will say that the club is getting more and more built. However there are runs we do to places like Tahuya that you would be able to join us. You say when your project is done? Are you just restoring, not building up?

It's a 7mgte swap. Not going to touch suspension, trying to keep 100% stock look. Not building it to be a wheeler, maybe fun on a Saturday but it will be the family pickup for dump runs and home depot trips. I live real close to Tahuya so that is no problem. You dont even need 4x4 to go most places there!

You can read about it in my sig, or https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...uildup-282365/

*** DATE CHANGED TO THE 21st ***
Shake off run
Date: 03/21/2015
Time: 10:00 AM
Meeting Place: Family Grocer in Gold Bar
Trail System: Reiter
Its time to shake off winter's coat and put the rubber in the rocks. We will be making a run to Reiter to ensure everyone's winter additions are all in working order. We will be having a photographer shoot the run as well so it is definitely going to be a good time. We will meet at the family grocer in Gold Bar at 10:00 AM sharp. The weather is supposed to be in the 60s!
