Washington Wet Wheelers

Well me and Brendan lived up to the name today. Walker was getting pounded by rain today as we ran the trails. Definitely made it more challenging. We both came away with some body damage, but had a blast. Wish we could have saw some of you out there. Videos to come soon.

Yeah buddy! Sorry it took me so long to get the videos up.
I am getting an order together for some custom hoodies with our logo. I need 6 orders to be able to place the order. I've got about 4 right now. They will be roughly about 37 bucks. If you would like one let me know so I can get the order put in.

The Wet Wheelers will be making their first run to Reiter as a club. Many of our members have been before but we have never gone as a group. We will be meeting in the parking lot of Gold Bar Family Grocer.

As for the trip its self I would advise only going if someone that will be there has a winch. I don't know what the trail is like now (it was only maybe halfway done at the time of that video), but when I was there, there was only a bypass for the big rock pile near the beginning which you'll probably see in other videos from that day. The whole trail is pretty technical with big obstacles (rocks) and it's pretty easy to get stuck. Again, I don't know what the trail is like now, but I would advise on planning on getting stuck at some point especially with it being really wet.

Not gonna happen for me, I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with my truck, plus the 6th is a thursday so I'm workin'.

Cool, you both got winches, you'll be fine. Nate got his wheel spacer issue figured out then? Looks like the weather is supposed to be decent, I might ride out there to hang out a bit and check out the trail if I've got some time. I've got lots of electrical probing/diagnostics ahead of me though so we'll see.

Long story short-ish, it's still knocking. Compression was high, figured it was carbon buildup or the head had been decked at some point. Pulled the head, didn't look too bad and hadn't been decked, put a new head on anyways for peace of mind (and the old one had slightly leaky valves), compression is still high. I don't know why anyone would do it to an otherwise stock motor, but, at this point I'm thinking it must have high compression pistons.
Looking at the ignition timing, when the throttle is just barely off idle the spark advances like 30-40 degrees so I'm pretty sure that's what the real problem is, just gotta find out what's causing it. I'm thinking it's the TPS or ICM, but I'm not sure. Hopefully probing the ECU will shed some light on the problem. I"m gonna try to start digging in to it over the next couple days, but I'm working OT so I'm not too motivated to mess with it when I get home.

TPS was one of the first things I checked. Checking it at the TPS terminals you're checking the resistance, but I found out in the FSM that checking it through the ECU you can test the voltage, so I'll be doing that among a few other things. 4Crawler's write-up is more in depth than any manual will ever be, that's where I went for TPS info before I downloaded the FSM and that's still where I go now .
