I'm going to ask what you may consider some dumb questions but I gotta ask. Do you have oil in the diff? Do the axles have lube?

I also see that you have detroits in your front and rear. I've heard of a bolt working its way loose in detroits causing this before. I'll do some digging and see if I can find some info.

He wasn't able to tell where it was coming from. He said it was too loud. I will
Have to check all
Of the things on that list. I know it's not oil
Related. It actually has a spartan locker in the front, what would make the most sense? No
Noise driving normal in 4wd. But once the high stress stuff starts she starts grinding away? I'll have to tear it apart to find out for sure.

I'd have to guess it's the locker, if not that then the ring and pinion backlash might not be set right. If it was any kind of bearings it would most likely be a constant noise, not just under load. I saw a vid on you tube where a guy busted his locker and it only snapped and crunched when the locker would normally be engaging, under lots of load. Auto lockers are basically a ratchet, so when they break they can have that broken socket wrench sound except much bigger.
I don't know what yours sounds like, if you post a vid maybe I'd be able to help a little better.
