Havent been to any others so not sure.
There are parts of Walker that are definitely on the easier side. However they have it gated now because of people illegally logging after hours. So now to even get into a good portion of the trails you have to wheel over a rather large set of boulders (this is how they make sure the trails are only being used by wheelers). You can see what I'm talking about in my avatar.

lol kk. Well we have a semi free check on the 20th of next month where I believe I will be able to order the 1" BL and sliders so that should help some hehe.

I may also knock out the Tundra brake upgrade then too money permitting, if not it will be the next thing I do

Because I want a motor that isn't gutless yet reliable. The 4.0 I6 in the XJ is a great motor that goes for forever. I don't know man I'm just tired of not having a rig and I just keep thinking that I'm making a mistake by putting another 5k into a 5k truck.

The 3.4 is an awesome engine. Maybe a 3rd gen would be up your alley hehe. You should come drive mine and see

However it works out, do what makes you happy man..will wheel with ya no matter what ya run.

The 3.4 is a great motor, they're strong and freakin' bulletproof. If you ditch the Runner for a jeep you'll be kicking yourself later. Plus if you get an XJ you'll have to dump thousands into it just to get it on par, trail-wise, with your Runner. We'll still wheel with you no matter what you're in, but like I tell my friend who has a Rubicon (which is a pretty damn sweet rig) that as Toyota guys we are obligated to razz you if you're in a jeep

How do you figure I'd have to dump thousands into it for it to be on par with my truck?

Nah I'm not buying anything. I took a look at a 3rd gen that a guy who works with me is selling. Not what I am looking for though. I think I'm going to proceed with the 3rz swap.

That and I believe most, if not all, stock XJ's have dana 30's and those axles are notoriously weak. My friends dad has a late 80's-early 90's wrangler that has d30's and he says they bend going over the smallest things and he just uses it as his hunting rig. I think 33's are as big as you can go with those stock and you can still snap axle shafts. Dana 44's and up are pretty solid though so if you do turn to the dark side at least make sure you get something with axles that won't break.

I have the clear corner too. I think it makes the truck look so much cleaner. I am actually on my second set. A deer took out first set just outside of the Rubicon.

Yeah I would only consider one that had the factory tow package (made it come with Dana 44s). Good points though bro.
