haha.

i watched a buildup one of the guys did on a motor, and he did every step the right way with no shortcuts. i've seen many pics of their work, and based upon those alone, i'd buy their products if i had the cash.

Are there any dealers / distributors / installers for Toyotafiberglass in places like L.A.? I'd love to see this up close and have someone knowledgeable take a look at my bed and give me an informed opinion on how rusted out it is. I talked to one reasonably high end body shop and they estimated about $1200 for a brand new (steel) Toyota bed painted and installed, but then I'd have to deal with it starting to rust again (they didn't know anything about fiberglass beds). I live not too far from the ocean, so non-rusting truck beds have a lot of appeal to me.

NO distributors just yet ... 12 years and still not sure we want to go that route . I kinda like the direction were are going now , keeps production at max , and still very hi quality products .

I can supply you with ph# and emails of previous customers , but you'll have to contact me directly for that .

you'll not be dissapointed ..

STRENGTH test

From what I've read on here the short time I've been around, the fiberglass beds sound like they're really top quality. But more than I want to spend right now for an almost 20 year old truck (the el cheapo model). Somehow spending more on a nice bed than many think the truck is worth doesn't make much sense. Maybe if the truck gets rear ended while it's parked with nobody inside and the insurance check comes through...

Actually, having someone knowledgeable who installs this stuff for a living look at my truck and give me a reasonable assessment of whether the sides would work or not was what I was really asking about. Not sure I'm willing to tackle the job myself, although the pictures make it look so easy!

^ if you're serious about wheeling, you'll change your point of view. for what it's worth, i've dumped nearly $10k into my 20 year old supra... and i'd do it again if i had to do it over.

I am working on my own fiberglass fenders right now and its a challenge and might be worth spending the money for the professionally done work.

Here's a really old picture of the fiberglass bed on my truck. I have matching front fenders too. I've had them for probably a year, and had no issues. The lines around the rear tail lights aren't perfect, but they're good enough for 99% of the people out there. You really need to know what you're looking for to notice it's off.

The front fenders needed a little trimming to get the fender lines even with the other panels, but I was warned about that before I bought them.

Fiberglass body parts

A thread back from the dead! Here is a link to the build Toyota Fiberglass is doing on my 1989 4Runner. High-clearance pieces. I want to run 36" tires with no more lift than what I have, 2" suspension + 1 " body. SAS with a 3-link is next.

http://bb.bc4x4.com/showthread.php?1...ong-Term-Build

Will start a thread here if there is interest.
