no matter how late you receive something, you still received it. either send it back or work out a discounted payment for your frustrations and delay with the seller and you keep it. either way, the seller owes you an apology (which i haven't seen yet) along with a discount if you decide to keep the remote. if you keep it, then you owe the seller what he righfully deserves and what you both agree to as "fair".
I agree!

regarding the package- Like I stated in an earlier posting, the item was delivered. I picked it up this week. Keeping it is bad karma. That's why the package was never opened and the item was dropped off in the postal box last night (3/21) on the way home - well before the backlash started.

Parts- The post was worthy of "smileys" because your message is a joke, in that you still never answered my questions or have made any attempt to make the situation right (i.e. prove to customers it was isolated and customer retainage is important to you). That is why it was displayed- to show that this company makes no effort to accept or correct their mistakes.

If posting what they told me was wrong, I accept my -just trying to keep everyone up to speed.

Yeah. Two wrongs don't make a right. The service was bad and no attempt was made for them to make it right (discount, apology, etc.). I'm not stooping to that level.

Good decision

I am glad you realize your mistakes and are willing to make this right. I never saw your post about receving the item, so sorry if my previous post was a little wrong there.

Thankfully this dispute ended somewhat peacefully and it'll stand as a good example of what can happen in the world of online purchasing!

No problem Mark. Things get crazy when the threads get drawn out. If I thought someone was doing something underhanded, I'd speak up, too.

I sent that package back as soon as possible. The package could not be sent back "return to sender" like the company stated, so I had to pay out of pocket ($4.55) to get it shipped back to them Priority AND Delivery Confirmation (I wasn't going to give them the opportunity to say they didn't get it back). Like I said, bad karma; didn't want anything to do with it. There wasn't any need in keeping it as I already have another one on the way (from another supplier ).

Thepartsyouneed.com AGAIN

ThePartsyouNeed.com stiffed me too.
Ordered Keyless remote on June 5th.
When it did not arrive within two weeks, I emailed and voice-mailed them. (you can not contact directly)
I got an email response from "Nicole" with a tracking number from USPS.
Supposedly a mailing label was printed on 6/9/06, however, it is now July 3rd and I still have not received the product. A 2 ounce shipment from Arizona to California should not take nearly a month. I still have not recieved, and USPS says that the tracking number simply means a label was printed, not that anything was actually shipped.
Today, I have put the credit card payment into dispute.
I saw a similar complaint about this company on this forum earlier. The vendor responded directly into that thread, and the product finally arrived --after six weeks in that case. Something weird is going on here.
Buyer Beware.

Angry

I'm pretty sure I'm getting ready to be stiffed by ThePartsYouNeed.com as well. I ordered a remote on the night of 7/9 so I figured that the order would be rec'd 7/10. I waited for almost a week and called them again (they NEVER answer their phone) and their msg said they were out of town from Wed-Sun. Nice of them to tell me. When they got back I left voice msgs and emails and all I got was an auto-generated email with shipping and tracking information - but all they had done was notify USPS that the remote would ship. Nothing has been confirmed. Emailed again today 7/26 and still no response. I will be also complaining to AZ Attny Gen. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! AND, I'm in the same state. Hell, I could have driven there and picked it up quicker. Something smells FISHY in Cottonwood, AZ.

I also had difficulties with this website earlier this year. It was worthless to leave messages on the phone, not one message returned. The best thing is to continue with emails, be persistent... After a while they did indeed send me the remote with instructions. Hang in there..

I wish I'd run into this thread before sending money to ThePartsYouNeed.com. I paid for two remotes well over a month ago and have received nothing, not even an answer to my emails. In fact, the last time I emailed the company I got an error in reply saying the receiver's inbox was full. These guys might have started out ok, but they've turned into common thieves and I can't understand why their site is allowed to stay up.

Sorry to hear about your dilema. Maybe this thread should be sent to the authorites. Have you tried sending ThePartsYouNeed.com a private message via Yotatech?

Excellant suggestions, jrallan26.

I have PM'd ThePartsYouNeed.com

I wonder what authorities I might report them to since they don't reside in the same state I do.

Thank you

The local police department in Arizona. The city in Arizona is on their website. Keep every email you send them. Again good luck.
