Thank goodness we created this vendor feedback section.
It is here to educate all in who to deal and who not to deal with.
This sectoin is doing its job as we designed it.

I would advise retracting your statements before word spreads further. (Because word tends to spread quickly on the internet!)

I got the same message from PSE and asked him to take his “threat” offline but apparently offline has multiple meanings.
Regardless, I think Christian has made it clear he wants this to just go-away. We all know Christian’s reputation and since PSE has already made an impression w/ the response, let’s just try to move on.

Speaking of lasting impressions....
If you google "PSE Superchargers", this thread is the 2nd link (undoubtedly due to the thread being over a year old and has been indexed by all the search engines). The first link is the PSE company website.
I love the internet.

I just wish someone would have quoted Christian's post before the edit. That way there wouldn't be anything anyone can do to either person. Oh well, for now this informations was good enough to know the type of business we are dealing with and of course for the "comedic value."

well i thought ed's common sense kicked in last nite when i rechecked this thread and saw he deleted his threat letter.
this morning...wow. hey ed, before you consult your real lawyer, might wanna get a 2nd opinion. written deformation...err....defamation of character is called libel, not slander. but here, let me help you:
United States law
Defamation law in the United States is much less plaintiff-friendly than its counterparts in European and the Commonwealth countries.
This is because the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States gives strong protection to freedom of expression, which arose from the tradition of dissent in the American Revolution. One very important distinction today is that European and Commonwealth jurisdictions adhere to a theory that every publication of a defamation gives rise to a separate claim, so that a defamation on the Internet could be sued on in any country in which it was read, while American law only allows one claim for the primary publication.
In the United States, about 75 percent of defamation lawsuits are filed in state courts, and the remaining 25 percent in federal courts. A comprehensive discussion of what is and is not libel or slander is difficult, because each state's definition differs. Some states codify what constitutes slander and libel together into the same set of laws. Some states have criminal libel laws on the books, though these are old laws which are very infrequently prosecuted.
In the various states, whether by case law or actual legislation, there are generally several "privileges" that can get a defamation case dismissed without proceeding to trial. These include the allegedly defamatory statement being one of opinion rather than fact; or being "fair comment and criticism", as it is important to society that everyone be able to comment on matters of public interest.
****
So the burden of proof is on you, Ed, not Christian. And given the fact that he was stating an opinion based on a phone conversation with you, you need to prove that there was malice behind a written opinion, that what he wrote was false, among other things.
oh yeah, dont think this board is full of pimpy faced, redneck, inbreeding teenagers. there are business owners, engineers, educators, etc on this forum who would love to stick it to you just because youve conducted yourself in a less-than-professional manner. we are not going to be cowered by threats---especially poorly written ones. oh, the irony!
so good luck, and thanks for coming out
Bob

Corey... When someone edit's a post here, does vBulletin update the database record or add a new one with a pointer from the old to the new? There's some (old) legal precident about editing public posts and I'm thinking that today's forum software may actually preserve the original text.

If you restore it then you're only opening up another threat from him about violating his civil liberties or some other mashed concept that his Legal Console has Consoled him about in his Console chambers.
