Mirrors with Temp/Compass

Mirrors with Temp/Compass
I had a great experience with the company I bought my mirror from. I recently bought a Gentex autodimming mirror with compass and outside temp from RT Associates. Bob Prim is the guy you should deal with. He was very responsive, did everything he said he would and answered all of my questions. He deals in Gentex (Mito), and Donnelly mirrors. Here's an exerpt of an email I got from him:
I deal in new Gentex mirrors kits from Mito Corporation as well as Donnelly mirrors.
The Gentex mirror kits are the dual display model that show compass & temperature simultaneously in a slightly larger display than the single display model. They come with wiring harnesses, temp sensor, instructions & 3 year warranty. These are meant for wedge mount applications. For vehicles like yours, I would supply a mounting button kit so that it can be installed on the windshield. For those people that have camlock mounts (I don't know which models use which mounts - Toyota uses camlock, wedge, and roof depending on the vehicle), I do have special adapters for the Gentex mirrors for $10 when bought with the mirror. Price on these mirrors would be $190 including UPS ground shipping in the U.S.
As an alternative, I also sell the Donnelly mirrors. These have the display in the lower part of the mirror frame instead of in the glass. I've noticed that the Donnelly mirrors are by far more popular with people who drive imports, versus the Gentex mirrors which are popular with domestic vehicle owners. These also come with the wiring, temp sensor, instructions like the Gentex mirrors, but have a 1 year warranty. Price on these mirrors is $185 including shipping. What's nice about the Donnelly mirrors is that they come in either wedge mount OR camlock mount - same price, no adapters needed. For people interested in these with maplights, they are available for $195. The non-lighted mirrors have blue displays, and the lighted mirrors have green displays (the lighted mirrors are due to change to the blue display later this summer).
And last, payment options: Paypal, money order, cashier's/certfied checks. I do also ship internationally if needed for an additional charge depending on shipping method.
Didn't mean to hit you with a book of information, but that way you now have all the information and can either post it on the forum or have it handy in case someone inquires about them.
Thanks!
Bob Prim

BTW, these mirrors are a little larger than stock, but sunvisors still clear them.

More good deals:
Mike,
Thanks for the kind words! I still am into these mirrors, although things have slowed down a bit. The new mirrors are available just about anytime, and I usually have a variety of nice used ones, too. In fact...I have a bunch of the Gentex dual display compass/temp mirrors available. All are new - I got a case of them from GM (they're from the Janesville truck assembly plant) when they did a 2002-2003 platform changeover and stopped using them. They would be supplied with the very same parts that come with the new Mito or Donnelly kits - wiring harnesses, temp sensor, instructions. Price on these would be $160 while they last....
So if you know of anyone looking for those....let me know! Also - be sure to let everyone know to mention the Yotatech site when they email me!
Thanks!!
