Looks great Steve!! Just how much better are the Cruiser coils than the OME 891 with a 1"spacer? Added flex, softer on-road? Thanks!

 

Alot cheaper than a set of coils and a set of spacers.

 

I ran the 891's for a few years and now run the LC coils. The LC are much smoother on road and provide great flex off road.

would you sell the extended studs separately or just with these kits?

 

he's selling just the complete kits - no components from what i understand.

 

The agreement I have with Andy on the spacers is that I will only sell them in these kits. For individual parts, you'll still need to see him.

 

i'll see what i can do in the next week or two on the studs.

i'll post something if i get some good prices to pass along. for now, a set from wheelers for $24 shipped (or whatever the going rate is) is the best deal.

 

My cost on mine is $32.00 shipped to me. But you don't have to cut them down. The studs are a "pass along" something I get for you but don't make any money on.

 

Pretty awesome stuff Steve. I know that if I were to start over again, this is the route I would go. Plus getting your shaved a-arms.

I still love my OME890s though, perfect ride height, awesome flex, great street feel.

Yep, props to Steve, he has been very helpful. I was having a terrible time trying to get all of the parts, and I saw on his site the whole thing. Sent him an e-mail and now everything I need is on the way in one box.
I think all i need is some limiting straps for the rear, but I am not going to be wheeling till summer, so those are going to wait i guess.

 

Just a quick question, I see that both options are 2" front and 3.5" rear. Would the truck still be level after that, or would the rear be higher?

 

The stock stance has the back end about 1" higher than the front so it isn't really level to begin with.

 

So you are lifting the rear another 1.5" to make it less level? That's my question.

 

But the other half of the kit lifts the front 2". The only difference is the rear will be .5" higher than the stock stance. So if you look at a stock 3rd Gen's stance, imagine the rear another .5" higher and you have a rough estimation on what your stance would look like with Steve's complete kit. So yes, it will e less level than stock. Clear as mud?

 

If you go higher in the rear, the FZJ coils will work, not only will they work but now the FZJ shocks work too because it is higher and the drive shaft goes under the gas tank skid instead of into it.

2" front and 3.5" rear are magic numbers. Things work really well at these numbers, that do not work so well at 2" front and 2.5" rear.
