thats depends on what broke, as with mine, it was a wiring issue. about $100
or it could be the actuator, a used actuator, (if you can find one) $150 and up. thats about all i know, hopfully other will chime in with more and better info.

I'd say a complete used low pinion e-locker third member could be had for around $400-$700 depending on miles and shape. Some say a new one can be had from Toyota for around $900.

You can lock or unlock it by hand if that happens.
When I was looking at lockers last year, a used third was about $350-$400, but they typically only have 4.10 or maybe 4.30's so you're looking at probably having to regear too, so about $700 ready to go in the truck.

Can you lock it by hand also? How do you do this I'm interested to know until I get mine fixed.

Just reach under there and move the rod that the actuator attaches to. The electric is only needed to change "states" - it holds on its own once there. One of the guys in COTTORA has to slide under the truck while he's airing down to lock it, then unlocks it while airing up...

e-locker cost
I have an 02 Taco TRD and the locker would not engauge. I was told that if they are not used they somehow seize up. I tried beating it with a hamer but that didnt do anything but give some satisfaction on beating something with a hamer. I had the actuater replaced with a new one which fixed the problem It cost new from toyota around $900. The dealer screwed up and covered the total cost even though the warrenty had run out. I did see one on E-bay that was used for $600 though.. good luck
