SAS Brake Question

SAS Brake Question
I am just finishing up my SAS when I noticed a SLIGHT problem after taking it out for a short test run. I pretty much have no brakes. I bled the brakes right before I did the test run, and there was the correct amount of pressure on the pedal. We bled the brakes so that there were no air bubbles left on all 4 brakes. I'm using the usual front waggy brakes along with the stock toy rear brakes. After bleeding the brakes, I have pressure until I turn on the truck, then I have almost no brake power. I just barely have any when I push the pedal down to the floor. I really hope that I don't have to bleed the master cylinder... that would suck. Anyway, thanks.

Usually a soft pedal with the car running, but hard when it's cold means you still have air in the brake lines somewhere. I would bleed them one more time. It might take about 10 pumps for the rears and 5 for the fronts to flush the fluid completely. And don't forget to do it in sequence. RR (right rear) wheel, LR wheel, RF (right front) wheel, LF wheel.
Have your pumper be gentle when bleeding the brakes. Rapidly forcing the pedal up and down while bleeding can aerate the fluid and introduce air bubbles into the brake lines. That is a rare scenario on yota's, but it is possible.
Bleeding the master might also be necessary, but it really is easy. You can do it with the master cylinder in the vehicle and it only takes a few minutes.

Might have something to do with when the truck is off there are no power brakes, when you fire it up the power brakes generate more pressure which is exposing the soft spot (air pocket).

Get one of these, and don't forget to thank me later. They're having a sale right now too...

Try letting the brakes gravity bleed. Crack your hood and leave the reservoir cap off over night. I've bled mine this way and also my master cylinder for clutches on prior vehicles
