Revtek Spacer Dimensions

I'm in the process of assembling my Frankenlift, with rear Revtek spacers from yoda-g2 (thanks, BTW), Roger Brown Diff Drop, and then now I'm looking at front spacers from ToyTec Lifts . My question is what size front coil spacers should I get from these people, since they have 2", 2.5", and 3" kits, and how big is the front spacer combo (preload spacer and top out extender) on the Revtek kit?

TIA,
Dana

The Revtek kit provides a 3/8" thick top out spacer which gives 1/2" of lift. A second spacer that I have no clue how thick is goes into the pack assembly giving a full 3" of lift.

If you want a true Schaefer Frankenstein you need the Revtek toput and a 1.5" cornbred or somethign that equals that inside the pack. Gping over 2" of lift "kills it" and it will not flex.

If you need 3" of lift do 2" suspension and 1" body.

You could get the 1" spacer from those guys and 4 OME 5mm trim packers or a 1.5" spacer from Cornbred.

I should just make my own spacer that has all this placement done for you. But as cheap as people sell spacers, I'm betting I could not make any money on it.

Thanks for the replies Steve. Let me clarify a little, and hopefully you will be able to clear up some other questions I have.
The spacer I have is just about 2.25 inches tall, will that give me a full 3" of lift?

it looks like the kit they sell on the COTTORA site puts 2" inside the spring pack and then adds whatever else you need in the top out spacer, either .5" or 1" (2.5 - 3" of lift). I'm just basically looking to put the same amount of lift in the front as I will have by putting the Revteks in the back. It seems like the companies market the 3" lift, but the spacer is actually less than that. Am I wrong? And if not, is there a formula to figure out how to make this thing level?

Thanks a lot for all of your help!

Dana

That rear spacer will only give you 2.25" of lift and with the very weak stock rear springs I would be on 2" even.

Order 2" of lift for the front. 1.5" from Cornbred or your other source and add the Revtek top out. To make 2" total, I would use an Old Man Emu HD shock.

Steve,

I have a 2" spacer in side the coil.... Could I add a plate on top to help raise the front some? If so using the stock bolts on the strut top, Could I fit a 1/4" plate on top and still be able to use the stock strut bolts? If not will I have to tear the strut apart to add the longer bolts? Thanks in advance Chris

I think you might get away with 1/4" but the Revtek spacer that lifts 1/2" is 3/8". Revtek sells longer repacement studs for the stock top put plate.

If you add the revtek top put and studs you will gain 1/2" of lift.

Steve,
I would agree that the rear coils are fairly week, capacity wise, yet I would say that you'll gain exactly the thickness of the spacer in actual lift. By placing the machined aluminum or poly spacer on top of the rear coil, the frame is now simply sitting higher on the same coil spring.

Spacing the frame away from the axle housing does not change the spring rate, or add more weight. So why would the spacer (in the rear) not add exactly the amount of lift advertised? I recently added a set of Protech aluminum spacers to my new '99 coils in the rear. The gain was exactly a measured inch.

2" and 2.25" are so close I was just generalizeing. I'm sure the 2.25" spacers yeild 2.25".

Remember my set up with the revteks. I got the factory 2000 springs, 2.5 cornfeds, added 2 revtek top outs, and still sit lower in the front about 3/4" .
sometimes i got a rub with my 285's on my right fender flair.
i have not been off-road much since sedona last month. but, some day i gotta do something to level out..
since we are both in AZ, we gotta meet up and shoot the ˟˟˟˟ one night..
Sure sounds good to me. When it cools off there will be alot of runs going on, not much in the summer.
