Question CHEVY Rear Leafs on SA yota

Anybody have any experience with the positives and negatives of running rear fullsize chevy springs. I have been researching some lift options for an older toyota and and am very interested in this spring swap seeing how, if I get the yota I'm looking at, will probably end up needing new shackle hangers and all.

I'd imagine a longer spring would flex well, but is it worth the trouble?

There's lots of info out there.

This Pirate post linked in the above thread is very complete.

I've got a set on an 84 pickup and I think they work fine. Cost wise it is tough to do it for less.
Cheers.

the chevy 63" spring swap is quite common... roger brown has them on his runner and has a writeup on it too on www.4crawler.com

I have 56" Alcan springs on my 4Runner, pretty much simila install though. New hanger up front and some sort of longer/relocated shackle out back:
