Bolt-In Hydraulic Bump-Stops for Toyota Trucks

Light Racing has just released their new jounce shocks (bump-stops) and there are bolt-in/weld-in kits for several Toyota applications.

The bump-stops incorporate some really innovative features. The compression and rebound valving are both externally adjustable and there are a variety of mounting options to make custom installations easier. The mounting system for the Toyota A-arm front suspension kits is brilliant. The upper mount is spring-loaded and can be misaligned up to 7-degrees. There is NO scrub!

Retail pricing is expected to come-in somewhere between $1,500-1,600 for for a complete kit (front and rear). Not cheap, but damn, this stuff looks nice.

We'll be installing and testing a complete system on our Donahoe-equipped Tacoma.

Looking forward to the reviews I saw this a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty cool. Not sure how functional it'll be but I suspect it'll be a great add on mod for the masses! (FJ/4R/Taco ready too for those newer vehicles!)

Coming from Brian Kudela's company and because of the fact that the jounce shocks were developed for military applications, I'd bet they'll be 'functional' before anything else. Can't wait to try them out.

Neato. What's the advantage over typical air bumps like Sway away, king and fox make?

Externally adjustable compression and rebound valving. These were also designed for military/OEM service-life, so that means they're not going to require frequent rebuilds, maintenance, etc. Mike at Light Racing told me that they did extensive testing and could only cycle SAW bump-stops about 100,000 times before they failed (their new jounce shocks have gone over 500,000 cycles). Prices for the jounce shocks individually are much more competitive too. 1.5" stoke is $195ea. and 3" stroke is $215ea.
