4th Generation OME Update
4th Generation OME Lift News
As many of you are aware the Prado setup has been adopted to be used on the 4th Generation 4Runners. Being one of two Vendors that have been offering this setup I think we can all agree we have seen some issues come up. Yesterday we learned after Michael “Ahriman” here on Yota Tech continued to question the OME886 part #. He made his own calls to ARB and was informed the # did not exist. I immediately checked our Application Guide and informed him he was wrong and whom ever he spoke with at ARB was mistaken. I then proceeded to call ARB and have them investigate this and they too told me it did not exist. I referred them to Vol. 19 page 77 of their Application Guide and asked why they had it listed. (SEE ATTACHMENT)
They called Australia for clarification.
Their response was this:
ARB was originally contracted by a Company in Europe to produce a Heavy Duty Stock Height Spring so they could put Heavy Duty Bumpers on their vehicles and retain the Stock Height. Approx. 2 sets were made and they scrapped the program. The OME886 were never put into production and at this time they have no plans for them to be produced.
TRDParts4u.com originally listed them this way:
OME886 as Heavy Duty
OME885 as Firm
OME884 as Medium
The Correct Listing should read:
OME885 as Heavy Duty
Height 395mm
Spring Rate 590lb/in
OME884 as Firm
Height 385mm
Spring Rate 590lb/in
OME883 as Medium
Height 375mm
Spring Rate 590lb/in
The difference between each of the above part #’s is 10mm in height. The Spring Rate is the same for all three applications so the ride will be basically the same, only the height is different. This may explain some inquires on the ride height. The Spring Rate and Height were never posted in our Ad.The OME886 would in fact be the shortest available and would be basically stock height.
Anyone who has purchased OME884’s and would like to exchange them for OME883’s may contact us directly and we will be happy to make the exchange. (It does not matter which Vendor you purchased them from). We will even pay the freight. OME883’s are due in to the USA on or around the 29th August. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are dedicated to make this right.
Thank you Michael “Ahriman” for being so persistent and making us re-check our facts. Also I would like to thank Lance “GoodTimes” for his help in this so we can all stayed focused and not let the Thread lose it original purpose.
TRDParts4u.com is committed to helping in anyway we can. Thank you…

Slee has been consistent w/ all this info since the beginning. I have never heard any issues come up from dealing with Slee.
If people want to go taller/heavier than 885's than Sleeoffroad has the Slee1 and Slee2 custom coils application for the 4Runner.
