Sequoia Ring & Penion

I am in the prosess of lifting (DayStar 2.5") my '01 Sequoia Limited 4WD and installing BFG Mud Terrains that are 285/75R 16's on Weld Racing EVO Velociti 6 Wheels. Once done... can anybody direct me towards a reputable source for ring & penion sets to restore to the factory ratios. Any installers in Texas (around San Antonio, Austin) that do good work? Thanks

I'd try randy's ring and pinion or rieder racing. To find the right ratio need take the height of your new tires multiplied by your current gears divided by your old tire size. For example I have 33in tires that measure 32.5 and my oe tire were 29 and my gears are 4.10. So it should look like this. (32.5*4.10)/29. Hope that helps.

Looks like your going to be spending some serious coin. You're still going to get some serious tire rub on full lock with those tires. Going 255X85X16 may be another option you'll want to consider and you'll probably find you won't need to re-gear. The tire you're looking at needs an 8" rim, while the 255 MT can get by with your stock rim. Both are true 33" tires but the 255X85 is almost 1.5"s narrower and a quarter inch taller, which will fill your wheelwell nicely and will have less rolling resistance. I'd recommend sipping the two middle rows for better traction. Just a thought.
