New 2005 Tundra Double Cab X-SP 4x4

New 2005 Tundra Double Cab X-SP 4x4
I just purchased this truck 2 weeks ago and I'm very happy so far.
It is quite an upgrade from the 2002 Taco I used to drive.
I'm wondering about the X-SP package that came on the truck. What
exactly does this package give you? My truck did not have a window sticker
(the guys at the dealership removed the sticker cause they were using the
truck to run errands)
I know that the 20" wheels with 295-45 tires and leather seats are part
of the X-SP package. Anything else?
Specifically I'm wondering if I've got a Limited Slip Diff. or not? It seems
like I do cause traction in 2WD mode is good even on wet roads.
Also, anyone know of a good place on the web to order factory acessories
like the multifunction display?

Hi I just bought a Tundra two days ago. I have read on another board that if you have a Limited slip differential that there is a sticker on the differential that simply says LSD. It's there so the service department knows which fluid to use when servicing a truck with LSD.
One other thing that you could do is to go to the service department they can run your vin number and tell you everything thats on your truck.

Here is a excert from the window sticker of a truck off of Toyota.com.
It looks like there is more than one X-SP package. Mine has everything listed
under X-SP package #2 but I'm not sure this is the package number I got.
X-SP Sport Package 2-XM30 $4,075
* 20 inch Enkei Alloys w/Tire Upgrade
* Carpet Mats w/X-SP Embroidered
* Chrome Exhaust Tip
* Chrome Step Tubes
* Color-Keyed Fender Flares
* Leather faced seats w/X-SP Embroidered Headrests
* Skid Plate
* Woodgrain Dash
* X-SP Badges (3)

Seriously though, I actually went looking for a Tacoma Double Cab with
package #8. I needed to buy a truck quickly because the rental car
my insurance company was paying for was about to end.
So lets just say I was flexable. The Tacoma's were in high demand and
they did not have one close to the way I wanted it configured on the lot.
There was one due in but was already promised to someone else.
When I saw the Tundra X-SP I liked it but didn't think they would sell it to
me for a price I would pay. I was wrong. In the end I'm glad it worked out
the way it did. I love the truck. The size takes a little getting used to
expecially in a parking lot but the ride is very sweet.

20s and road tires on a 4x4??? Thats so very wrong. I could see that package on a 4x2, but not on a 4x4 (especially consdering you live in GA).
I went to Toyota.com, entered in my zip code and they didnt list that package. Perhaps its only available in southern states.
Nice truck though...

It's likely they just haven't updated their website. There is actually
a pic of a X-SP Tundra on the BuyAToyota.com website which you can
see here:
http://www.setbuyatoyota.com/images/accessory/28191.jpg
You can only link to it by finding a truck in inventory with this package
and then the page will let you get the details on the options.
I've also noticed the Toyota.com site will send you to different portals
depending on which zip code you enter. Try 30519 and see what I mean.
Right now there appears to only be 2 X-SP tundras listed in the South East
and they are 4x2's.

I seem to have stumbled upon another "unlisted" option. The rear
view mirrors with embedded blinkers I've never seen listed as an option:

Great looking truck. I really like the leather interior with the wood trim looks very nice. I do agree that the 20 inch wheel package with 4 wheel drive is an unusual combination. I could of had leather in mine but I'm just way to cheap, at least I know it though.

of body lift.
But they look kind of stupid on the highway commuting in every day.
I really like the grip the 295x45's give you on the street. This 2 1/2 ton
truck can corner like a sports car.

I just had a Toyota Parts dealer tell me that the multifunction display
with HomeLink is not available as an add on? WTF??? That seems a bit too retarted.
There is a place holder for it above the mirror that pop's out.

I have 06 tundra X-SP 4x2 double cab
The way They told me about the rear end was that if you need the differential lock the way it works is if you put the transmision in low2 then push the switch in the dash that says shift L then the rear will lock and the transmision will go to first gear. But it will only lock the rear in first and with the switch push. but as soon as you go to any other gear the transmision then will shift and the rear will unlock. I guess you only need it if you are pulling boat out the ramp or if you are in a bind etc... I wish there was a way and I will check into the switch to see if you can keep it on if you want it on higher gears. I know that all 2006 tundra have 3.92 rears. An d it works realy good but gas milage realy suc@@. I am only geting 13.7mpg. they said I should get 16-19.
