More bounce to the ounce...........

Hey guys! My truck has recently started this rear end bounce that really has me confused. Only on the concrete highway, over 55, does it do this. Over the blacktop portions of the highway and roads, it's pretty much smooth as glass. I've had the tires balanced, the shocks replaced, the u-joints and shafts checked but to no avail. Could it be from overloading the rear leafs? I do use my truck like a truck and have hauled several loads that had the rear end sagging, once damn near dragging but nothing was hauled before it started doing this bounce. The shocks were changed after the last big load haul thinking this would solve my problem. Nope. I'm getting another set of wheels soon but I was wondering if it just might be my springs. Is there a company that has replacement springs, possibily with a loader leaf for the T100? I've not been able to find any in my local area. Thanks in advance guys!

It sounds like the rear springs are the problem. You might have broken a leaf or over loaded them to the point that they bottom out on the highway now. I would look into getting a set of quality springs with a better overload. Also don't over look having a custom leaf pack made up from a spring shop. They can build a set with a good ride and extra load capacity.

Thanks for the advise though I was really hoping that it wasn't the leafs. Is there a company that has replacement springs or if I have them built, what sort of questions should I ask, how much is too much and what to look for? Thanks again!

Have them built - its cheaper and strong. I took my springs off and had them re-arched and added a thick leaf. I wanted to raise the rear end to match the front (with torsion bars slightly adjusted). I can carry more weight now and it hardly sags. Let them know what height you want and that you need to be able to load it down. Mine doesn't ride any rougher after having that done either.
