04 D-Cab and AEM Brute Force Intake
Has anyone had any experience with the AEM Brute Force Intake and their Tundra? Will the 04 models also suffer from the loss of power mentioned this thread 03 Tundra - K&N FIPK/Volant "Cold Box" ? thanks I will post some pics of my new truck soon.

All in all, OEM is best for the Tundra, if you really want some improvement in throttle response, look at www.trueflow.com, really good filter I think. Would I install one?...NO... only because I fear the oil that comes in all aftermarket air filters would coat certain sensors (like the MAF) and cause performance problems (it did so in my 4Runner).

I've used K&N dropins in all my vehicles for years (including this one) and have never had a problem with the oil coating anything. If any of the AEM or FIPK's were of a reasonable price I would try one, but I can not see how they can charge 250 for a small section of pipe and a filter!

well the price is not what is stopping me in purchasing the product... i only fear that it will lean out the engine. AEM's website posts a 15 hp gain aem dyno chart (biased?) w/ their intake while k&n posts a 13.68 hp gain. kn dyno. can anyone vouch for this?
