2000t4r trade for 89 fj62
I'm thinking about trading my LTD 4Runner 4x4 with 210000 miles for an 88 fj http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/5128379036.html
Good idea? Bad? I only get about 14-15 mpg. I have just recently installed lc coils and tundra brakes and tundra coils.

Up to you man. What are your plans with the cruiser?
I'm sure you've already weighed what you'll be giving up vs what you'll gain. The 60-series are pretty rock solid but you're going to be giving up a lot of "comfort" items and some safety stuff, like airbags. I would consider it personally as long as its an even trade and if it wasn't going to be my primary vehicle, but then again this one is driven regularly it seems

Should be great then. I know a guy who had one for a long time and sold it recently. Very utilitarian compared to the newer rigs. The back got used as a truck a lot of times. it will handle all your offroad needs and hauling, etc. Where it might lack is with comfort, like from the leaf/SA suspension and interior, etc. Ultimate Land Cruiser is a 60 body, on an 80 frame, with 100 or 200 series drivetrain and interior. Check Project X2 on ih8mud - it'll inspire you, then make you cry.
