toyotafiberglass - Mojave tribute build
#261
I'm stoked to see how this turns out, slacker. I've followed your other builds and you do some top tier work. And, not gonna lie, that golden trans makes me crack uo every time I see it. I love the color scheme overall, but just thinking of the Golden trans gets me all giggly.

thanks .. I hope the tranny color "crack up" is a good thing ... cuz it looks very cool from underneath with the body on ties in really nice with some of the other powder coated pieces I did
I gotta get a pic for sure .. it's also going to tie in with the exterior decals nicely

Slacker, where did you get the foam that you replaced on the heater box? I'm about to replace my heater core and would like to replace the foam as well.
Also, do you know the part number for the new heater core you bought? There seems to be some discrepancy on which replacement ones actually fit.
Thanks!

most of the foam was from Rona or home hardware , (sticky back window seal) . the foam for the flaps is a open cell I have in stock ,I'm using it on my new seat covers I'm sewing . so , you should be able to get it from an upholster ..
not sure on the heater core # .. I can maybe get that for ya later .. I do know there are 2 .. a heavy duty , and a light duty .. I got the heavy duty .
I'm on holidays until the 6th , so I wont be on here for a bit .

Don't worry about getting that part # for the heater core, I already bought mine. I was just curious if you had it on hand.
Thanks!

It is starting to look like a truck again and that starts freeing up floor space and shelf space when the parts start going back on. Great job and it is going to be a nice looking truck when done.

Stat. holiday today , so I took advantage of it working my own stuff .
first I built the harness for the Supra power seats ..
also got the battery in , and powered up the fuse boxes
also .. with the R150F the tranny sits 2" forward .. I cut up the original shifter surround , and didn't like the direction that was going , so I decided to make a "production" mould so I could cut out the shifter opening where I want , It'll match up to the original center arme rest console , and look totally FACTORY .. so here is where I'm at on that
