I liked your trip report so much I was seeing double! Love Mineral Creek. Saw a new stock GMC Suburban with an older couple sweating it out and a Jeep Compass with a flat tire coming down as we were going up. Some of that stuff had to be....interesting...in the Taco, simply because it's so long.

Need help w 2wd suspension.
Hello. I have a 94 2wd pickup that I have been living put of for the past year. Everything I own, mostly tools and toyota parts, and all my art supplies. Plus clothes. When I first got it, it was lowered w/ 3" lowering blocks and when I put my stuff into it, my drive shaft was rubbing on the body. So I got different leaf springs cuz the ones I had were flat. Put those on and took off the lowering blocks and with my stuff in it, no rubbing and it didnt look like a cockroach. Kept that setup for a few weeks but my feet kept getting hot when I would drive it so my ex told me I should put smaller lowering blocks on it cuz the angle of the driveshaft to transmission was too steep, hence the heat from the tranny. So I put on 2" blocks and that seemed to be fine. About 3 weeks ago I decided to change out my 18" low profile tires to 215/75 R15. They were too big for the truck with lowering blocks so I took them out and cranked up my torsion bars all the way.. still rubbing in the front so I had to take my fenders off the truck and had to smash the lip so that it wouldn't cut through my tires. It still runs and I was wondering what the best solution for the truck would be. I also replaced the tierods and some of the bushings.. I definitely have to do the strut bar bushings, the bottom sway bar bushings on the control arm, and the control arm bushings(already bought all of them in a kit) just didnt have a big enough socket to do them with. Moved somewhere now where I have all tools to fix anything I need so I figured it might help asking to see if I could get some insight as to what is the better way to go so I dont spend money unnecessarily. I won't really be 4x4ing but will be going slow down camping roads to go fishing, etc.. just want to make sure the trucks tires dont rub and my driveshaft doesn't rub.. I have to replace my body mounts as well. I tried but the bolt just kept spinning with no way to hold it in place I couldn't get the nut off of it to replace them.. oh and I was checking out torsion bars today so the front of the truck is up on Jack's right now
