You get those pics and I'll get that inner fender dealt with...............probably in that order. :/
You have a great weekend too. We had a hard freeze last night- 25 degrees so that's that for the garden.
Princess Sparkle Pony Prissy Pants (aka Charlie the Wonder Dog who is roasting on my lap as I type) wore the boy's sweatshirt on this morning's walk so my weekend will be trail build, dog clothes buying spree and, of course, pumpkin patch. There's a few things I'd like to check out at the junkyard too (ideas, ideas) if it can be fit into the schedule.

No freezes here yet.....soon, I'm sure. Hope you got the last bits harvested before the freeze.
The pup seems to need a bit more fat to keep him warm? Or, he just like wearing cool clothes...he seems to have some good character.

We got our first hard freeze this morning. Winter is officially on the way now. It's time for me to start prepping the skis for the season.

Already it's that time? Seems like only yesterday we were laughing at the idea of me on skis. Hope you get good powder or whatever that stuff is that you ski-people like soon!
Charlie is a temp wimp. Partly that he's lean, partly that he's an indoor dog and partly that's just how he is. This weekend he got a fleece jacket and warmer rip-stop parka that can each be worn separately or together for really cold stuff, plus dog boots are on order for snow and ice or as a damaged pad cover. He is a bit of a clothes-hound (ha), strutting around like he's all proud of himself.
I finally got the brake and clutch fluid flushed. Bottle green brake fluid? I do this about once a year and that's how it comes out every time. The left front especially was pretty nasty, more bottle blackish at first. Yikes!

We should be sliding down the hill by Thanksgiving time at the latest. Hmmm, don't recall that I laughed at you about skis or snow shoes.....maybe my memory is old and failing though.
It's time for some clothes hound pics.
I flushed brakes last year and have only driven 3500 miles since so they will get bleed fall of 2014...it seems somehow I always get soaked in brake fluid so I'm all for waiting another year.

In Charlie's defense if you are honest when you crawl out of a nice cozy sleeping bag that first breath of air on your skin is dang chilly and shivery. IIRC he's just a pup so this is also the first winter he's seeing so he's not used to the cold either. Some of us are just more sensitive to the cold is all. He's a snuggle bug.

Snow shoes! Those too! How I stay upright on a bike is a miracle too. Oh, wait. I don't.
Good ol' Charlie is a snuggle bug.
The only things that get me out of that bag in the morning are gottagottagottapee and the thought of sitting around leisurely drinking hot coffee in the just as the sun is coming up stillness before everyone else starts moving.
Actually, thanks for the idea Avi- next cold trip I'll make him a warm breakfast (hot water and his food soaked together).
I can't blame him as I'm constantly c-c-c-cold, but I'm still going to call him Mr. Princess Sparkle Pony Prissy Pants. He'll have his clothes and I'm working on getting/making him his own lightweight bag to snuggle in during the night if he wants. That way I'll be able to zip my bag all the way up so I don't freeze on those sub-30 nights. He's not the only princess in the woods.
He's turning out to be a darned fine companion. Still got lots of learning and maturing to do but already you can see he's got a whole lot of good going for him.

Maybe just share a bit of the coffee with him instead of boring old hot water... it'll put a spring in his step... we all need a jolt of caffeine in the AM.
instead of getting him his own bag you could just get a bigger bag for yourself that way you could both be warm and cozy... remember as we learned from the Soviet Agent TripleX in The Spy Who Loved Me one of the most important things about cold weather survival is "shared bodily warmth".

Juicy turkey burger... I've been making these for years and sold hundreds of them at Barmouche Rest. ...... I basically incorporated the portion of a turkey meatloaf recipe that I have into the burger, which helps hold together and it is seasoned in a way that pleases a white amount of pellets... Yes, Paul, its yellow mustard, and that's what they asked for... But it is organic yellow mustard and taste nothing like what you're used to. Hahaha....
Another night, recently, I made probably the best selling salad I've ever done... Its My "Craisy" salad.... It consists of good quality romaine or butter lettuce or both... Sweet red onions, fresh hot house tomatoes, Stilton blue cheese, english cucumbers, bloomed craisins and spicy candied pecans, I'll toss in a slightly sweet cranberry lemon vinaigrette, served with fresh baked homemade sweet potato muffins ....
I serve the salad with a marinated, panko crusted, Frenched, center cut loin pork chop, homemade cinnamon applesauce and jasmine rice..
Last night, they asked for the dish that I've been making for over 20 years... Sweet Italian sausage and Angus ground beef meat sauce with porcini mushrooms, vidalia onions, fresh garlic and other herbs, along with some homemade garlic bread and Italian salad which I've made for decades as well... No picture of the salad...
Get your grub on, peeps!

Haha, well I'm not sure, but I imagine it would make for some serious insoluble fiber! Lol. Thanks man, and I'm going to make an effort to try and snap more shots of everything I do. I don't always have the time to give recipes... Hopefully when I can't, people will at least be inspired to make something for themselves, instead of buying so much pre made, perservative filled crap. Somewhere I actually have a disc of about a thousand different dishes in a portfolio that I had done for menu design and so forth. I have to find that, not just for fun but for the inevitable, when I have to move on.

(you guys are so unfair.....licking the monitor only makes me realize I should dust it off every now and then)

Charlie was out in the yard doing zoomies when a big Barred Owl flew down at him from the oak tree, matched his pace about 2 feet above him for a few seconds, then flew off.
It was like 'Oh, crap, that owl is actually hunting my dog!' knowing there wasn't a thing I could do to help him, but also knowing Charlie was at least too big (30#) for the owl to take with him. Then it was 'Wow, cool, that owl's hunting my dog!'.
There's so many chipmunks, squirrels and mice, he won't go hungry because of this missed meal.
Charlie never even noticed.
Charlie = not owl snack.
(yikes!)
Not Fooooood!
Jacket:
Coat:
and the coat will fit over the jacket for hours out in the really cold. Boots to keep ice balls out of his feet are on order. Princess Sparkle Prissy Pony.
