This year they are getting them with the slightest bit of orange before the window trick would work I think. Next year I'll try the soap....season is all but over here this year.
Okra....never have had it. It's in the store from time-to-time here. How do you fix it?
I don't know hab there was a video out last year of a deer crashing through a window to get into the house chasing after a dog I think it was... you gotta to be careful some a dem deerz is plain nuts...
Deer. Dumb pellet makers and hosta eaters. Okra goes in gumbo and some other dishes or my husband eats 'em straight out of the garden 'cause he's kind of crazy like that.

Door Jamb Switch, driver's door.
The 'hey stupid, turn off the headlight' sound would take half a minute to start. Then the dome light stopped working for that door and the door's open light stopped working intermittently.
Then those things didn't work at all.
So...
Take off both front and rear trim on the floor and the bottom pillar piece pops off. Unplug single wire connection there at the jamb switch location.
Lift up rubber switch piece and unbolt switch from door. Remove.
The problem's the same as with the blower switch, worn contacts. I cleaned them up and bent the contact out slightly, plus flipped it so the less worn side was now the contact.
Put it all back together. The rubber cover and bolt will hold the metal and plastic together. The bolt is your ground. Switch now works great.
Cool Pleco.... I miss my tanks... I don't miss all the work though. I think I realized I'm slowly turning into a wanderer and I just stopped having pets. However, I still have those darn Katz! Lol. I love them, but they're both adopted off of the street here, where they got left behind during moves....

We've got 3 tanks Chef, a 29, 55 and 75 gallon and that's enough work for me. Charlie's 29# and teething pretty good right now, or is that pretty bad? At least he's sticking to his toys. Cats are good, I like them but I've put off getting another (our 21 year old died this past spring and I kinda miss his annoyingness). The puppy's pretty good at being underfoot but he's not as good at being indignant about being stepped on while underfoot. He does actually hang out on my lap while I'm sitting at the computer or reading a book more than the cat ever did.
Guess the reservoir replacing gave you no problems RW. That's a good thing. The switches are turning out to be pretty easy free fixes. Hopefully they last another 250,000, along with the truck and engine! (yeah, I know...)
I just got talked into some progressive trifocals. One eye has gotten worse than the other so readers aren't cutting it any more. Mid-life crisis, can you please come in the form of a motorcycle? I'd settle for front and rear bumpers plus an air-locker, some oba and rock lights (note to self, stop reading the Chef thread). Oh, and time and money to wheel, please.
Someone asked a question about the door open buzzer on t4r. Got curious this morning and here's what happened:
I've got to get to a trail work day so for now I did this to my 96 SR5:
and buttoned it back up. Four bolts for the panel under the steering column, 1 blue connector unplugging below the ignition switch. No more door buzzer. Still have the headlight on warning. Unfortunately no auto-unlock when you leave the keys in so I am going to dig further when I have a chance.
On the 96 the buzzer is by the fuse block, though I didn't want to disable that. I am not adverse to cutting wires though, but need to find a wiring schematic to see if that's an option that will allow for only the door buzzer to be disabled.

Hi Hab.....a good weekend for trail building?
We are under 40 at night, low to mid 60s for the high, and wonderful fall colors now. A great time of the year, IMO.
It is a great time of year and it was a great weekend for a build. This weekend is one of the rare free ones so we're thinking about a quick backpack. Gonna hit the high 30's for night, 60's by day and the colors are coming along here, too.
We did get it in. Apparently Charlie is a 40 and above dog- he slept in my sleeping bag while it was in the upper 30's. It was in the 40's in the morning and he was shivering until I gave him my jacket. Once we were moving he was fine. Now I'm looking for just the right dog coat/jacket/raincoat in something like blaze orange.
We're pretending that first WS game didn't happen. Not really a sports fan but REALLY??? They're just throwing Boston off the scent............or something like that.

Trying to finish up changing out the brake and clutch fluid. The stuff I got out of the front was nasty. Ran out of DOT3 so I had to stop and it's been too cold/windy/cloudy/rainy/dentist appointmenty/grocery shoppingy to get finished. Gave me a chance to hit the rear bleeders with b'laster anyway, they were being stubborn and I didn't want to force them.
I'm just glad the dog wiggles a lot less than the kid did when we used to share my bag! Then again, the kid hardly ever tried to randomly lick my face...
