Ain't she purty?

And then the cutting! Used my dremel which worked better than I expected it would.

No going back now...

Cut diagonals with the dremel, then bent the metal back and forth with pliers until it broke off.....

Like so....I painted the cut stuff while the tape was still on.

Took off the tape...

And now I have a lovely hole on purpose...

Your 4runner just gets better and better! Good choice on the sliders, they look great! I hope you didn't cringe too much cutting into your fenders, it's always hard hacking away at your pride and joy.

Wiring's not too hard when there's small hands about...

fed the loomed wire through an existing grommet

and up to the front turn signal.

There I just added the corresponding wire to the already modified wiring from when I did the marker turn signals.

The beauty shots...

Done! I put it there because that's where the lights I had worked best. You maybe wouldn't believe how curvy a 4Runner fender is. Now it looks a little like a Christmas tree but some of the drivers around here need a little beating with a blunt stick.

You guys are too fast for me! I really appreciate the comments. and thanks Stockwell for the slider compliment. I'm glad I had them made longer, they fit nicely like that.

Rworegon, I am going to keep the marker turns too. It's a bit much but it really doesn't make sense not too. The hubby was singing something about 8 turn signals, 5 noisy horns, 4 off-road lights... makes me thankful I don't have any partridges or pear trees. Closest I can come is a Wren family in the motorcycle helmet on the shelf in the garage.

If it makes you feel any better, '12 days of Christmas' is stuck in my head now too.

rworegon- Thanks!
PS. Kandy Korn is growing best of the varieties I planted. Now if I can just keep the squirrels away maybe I'll be able to tell you how it did later on.

Super on the corn. I've got Sugar Dots up about 8-10" now and planting some Silver Queen this weekend and also peas among the corn stalks. I'm in a super windy area so I had to over the corn and green bush beans with row cover to keep the leaves from getting beat to death. Baggies of moth balls to keep the squirrels away?

Nice with the peas among the corn. Was thinking about doing that with beans but am a little afraid they'd take over the corn (pinto). I was a little late in planting the peas. I put them in the shadiest spot in the garden but they still aren't liking the heat. *Sigh*.

While I was working on the turns I got another present from Brown, a Blue Sea 7622 battery isolator. I've also picked up a small piece of metal to deal with that stinky bumper gap. Last of all, I ordered upper ball joints (finally!) from Toyota. Backordered, but I've been told 3 or 4 days. No problem, got lots to do. Pics as I catch up.

dig the sliders. A little more armor and you're set. What's left the transfer case and bumpers?

Thanks!
Want rear bumper first, with tire carrier and class III hitch....yeah, I know.
Transfer case is hiding behind belly pan but the dif has a draft. Still mulling the locker, thinking e-locker or arb but I was broke a while ago so more waiting. Y'all better have meets during the summer, trail build season is winding down and soon I'll be weeding the garden and twiddling my thumbs.
How's things with the twos of you?

Turnsignals look great..I went the easy route and used round ones so I could use a hole saw..too old and blind (according to my teenagers) to hold a dremel steady

Did you seal up the bare cut metal to prevent rust?

I did paint the bare metal. Old and blind......I got carded today. The clerk should've known something was up when I put on the readers to
see which card was my license.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm pleased with the results and glad y'all like them too.
