Your dealer's attitude toward wheeling your vehicle?
I'm wondering how your dealers react to seeing the underside of your truck when you take them in for warranty work? I took mine in this week because I had an intermittent knock and couldn't diagose it myslef, plus I thought I might be able to get warranty coverage out of it.
Anyway, the attitude I got from the service writer(?), not the tech, was that since I've been "offroad" in my 4R any problems are my fault and they wouldn't try to help me out with the extended warranty company.

Are you talking about them seeing mud? When I took mine in the other day to get brake work done after doing a ton of mudding, they actually were nicer to me and complimented the amount of mud that was under there.

Both mud and scratches/dents. The service guy made it sound like an accusation and I was the antichrist. I wanted to smack him and say what the hell is this 4Runner on Everest BS if I can't take my 4Runner offroad. Anyway I'm sure you can tell I was PO'd about it. The entire story truly exemplifies the issues we have with dealers.

I would go to another dealer.
heres what happened to my buddy:
My buddy had an issue with the brakes in his Sequoia. The brakes needed replacement at 20,000 miles and he took it in to the Toy dealer closet to his home. They recommended a full brake job. I told him to do some research on the issue and call Toyota Customer Satisfaction Hotline.
The customer rep told him that there was a TSB on the issue and take it to another dealer. In addition she told him some key words to tell the service writer and that all dealers are independant with respect to warranty and repairs.
At the other dealership, they wrote him up to fix the brakes under warranty.
