You have all ruined me!

You have all ruined me!
I've been sitting here with nothing to do at work all day but wish it was warm so I could install my lift and the notion that if I bought inland upper control arms now, I could do it all at once crossed my mind.
Sure enough, a search on yotatech later, and someone else had made the same point. So if you can hear that noise, it's the sound of my money leaving my wallet for CA.
...and what gives with CA not letting phone orders go untaxed to different states?

This is already on my don't charge what you can't pay off in 2 months threshold.
You've all given me the confidence that I can handle all this myself though rather than having someone do it for me.
The only thing i'm iffy on is bleeding the rear brakes when I install a longer rear brake line.

wow, i guess they're just trying to pocket some more $$... because the last time I've heard Ca doesn't do such a thing... But then again, what do I know...
Best way to put it.... tell them so if I buy from Inland, and I pay taxes, does that mean that you will be payin sales taxes to my state "MO"? I highly doubt that they file for each state (who does...) so I'd fight like mad.... Unless it's a 1 buck item (but I know it's not).
I'm sure someone here that has more knowledge in taxes will be able to give u some more insight here..

Well I wouldn't think Inland has an entity in my state, so I called them to ask the question again.
They were more than polite and informed me that CA has some law that all goods manufactured in CA have to be taxed. They themselves weren't charging tax when they were doing their mail order business until someone from the state tax office came a knocking and informed them of this point.
I don't quite get it, but I can't say enough about how polite these guys are to deal with.
