Not only do they still SOLID Front Axle Yota's here in Australia, they even use them for news trucks!

Yes, until '98 here in the states, when they went to IFS. I don't know about Australia though.

The UZJ100 is sold in the US and overseas. It has the 4.7v8 and IFS. The overseas IFS versions also come available with a turbo diesel.
The 105, which is pictured in the above post, is solid front axle and comes with the 4.5 I6. It is only sold overseas.
Both vehicles are still manufactured today. Toyota sells about 6,000 UZJ100's every year in the US. By comparison, Lexus sells about 8,500 LX470's every year in the US. The LX470 has some fancier options than the LC but shares the same platform.
