X-runner wheels on a 2001 Tacoma??

Hey. I've run into a guy here in Charlotte who's selling 4 18" wheels off a X-runner and 4 Bridgestone Turanza EL42 245/50/18 tires. I'm wondering how that setup will look and function on my 2001 SR5 2wd Tacoma. I also found a set of Raze R74 5x100/5x114 17" Wheels too. Just looking for thoughts on either setup.
Thanks
Chuck

It's really up to you with what size you want. The general rule of thumb for cars: bigger wheels + smaller sidewall = better handling. The trade offs; a rougher ride, tires become more expensive, and you have to be more conscious of pot holes and cracks in the road.

it will be fine, actually look pretty sick
jdm: thats true up to a point. an escalade with 22"s or above with rubber bands for tires have a HORRIBLE turning radius. i dunno im in a smartass mood this morning
